Yeah, it was just something stupid like "how about some tacos?"
It's funny because it's this music icon. I love it, because it's one of those things that proves people like that are just normal folk with a bunch of idiocy running through their head.
I wanna make it clear I think Little Richard's recordings were excellent though, so don't get me wrong. Whatever kind of person he is, he can probably still tear the house down.

Wow, that was absolutely awesome. I can't wait until I moved and get settled in, so I can start working on getting another band together. I am itching to make music again.

Thanks!
I'm in the same boat. My band is pretty much on the skids, and I'm about to move to Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Hopefully I can find some people there to put together a new band. My plan is to record a record and then put together a working band that plays covers and stuff to pay the bills. Then I'll try to go on tour during the summer months doing originals and hopefully selling some CDs.

Unfortunately, I'm not musically inclined enough to actually like...record the music. I can write songs, but I can't play any instruments, so there's no way for me to actually record stuff other than vocals. Though I'm trying to learn some programming, because I've always wanted to do a sort of industrial/electronica type project.

I hear ya man. I play a little guitar, harmonica, and drums, but I'm not very good at any of those. I basically am barely skilled enough to make demos to play for potential band members. If you can at least get that far on any instrument and you can get people to play in the band you should be set.
In all honesty, you might wanna think about eventually moving out of Kansas though. It might be easier to find musicians in a more urban area. Of course you never know, there could be people right under your nose.

Well, the reason I'm not looking for band members right now is because I'm moving in early September, to New Hampshire, and a bigger city, so I'm hoping to have more luck there.

Same here, that video is great for not only having the Tower of Power horns but also Stan Getz. Small World is my favorite HL&TN album by far.

That's cool, that'll be exciting. It's a nice goal to wanna play in bands, because even if you're not all that successful, at least it's fun. And if you try hard enough and you get inspired enough, you will be a success. So far I personally haven't been able to make a serious enough go at it to really put myself out there, but I'm hoping to change that. I've been out on tour once, but it was only for a week and just around the Midwest. You'd be amazed though, you don't really have to be all that great to put out a record and do a tour.

Yeah...music is pretty much what I wanna do for the rest of my life. I'm fine with working regular jobs as long as I'm making music. It's pretty much my passion. And Scott's Drunk Driver, thanks.

That's a great attitude to have. I'm sure you'll find something to satisfy your musical urges. Be sure to tell us about it when you get things rolling after you move. And let me know if you wanna gig in Lansing, Michigan or Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I don't actually have any connections yet in Ft. Wayne but I plan on making some very soon. And I can most certainly hook up a Lansing show.

And if I ever get the hookup in Nashua, New Hampshire, if you ever go there, I'll do my best to get you a gig

Awesome stuff, and it's good to hear you've got a dream you plan on followeing 2. Nashua NH is literally 5 minutes from where i live, which I found kinda odd in the whole "small world" scheme of things.
