Is it wrong for me to when I see that? I mean, it's Die Hard! All the FX should be explosions and squibs, not CGI cars crashing and flipping over John and CGI men bouncing off cars into walls. Is this just me?

Is this just me? No I agree with you too. Sadly, this is DIE HARD 2 all over again, which was a DIE HARD knock-off crapper with only the label sticker. Plus, FOX wanting to puss out on the R rating.....DIE HARD is bloody rated-R!

And Kevin Smith....I think
But let's face facts, Hollywood is CGI crazy...that's all you see in films anymore...that and making sequels and remakes of everything ever and not giving a damn about the legacy that there was before.

We realize that, but Fox realizes that lowering it to PG-13 will net them more money from teens....the mighty dollar over quality of a franchise.... Also, about CGI taking over Hollywood, that's why I love Silent Hill. There was VERY little CGI used(besides the dimension change sequences, and the Grey Children). All the monsters, besides GreY Children, adn the Creepers(the bugs) were just plain outfits, prostetics and makeup, not CGI.

Well, the only good reviewer at the AICN website, VERN, just went ballistic on it, and well lets just say that alot of people are mad if LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD is PG-13. I'm sorry, but R-rated franchises degrading in ratings tend to horribly backfire. Plus, John McClane is the rude/crude New Jersey white trash cop who kicks ass. This PG-13 nonsense works for Bond, but NOT yippe-kiyay Mother F*****!

Seriously, FOX have their heads up their asses at this stage. If LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD is rated PG-13, then its not a DIE HARD movie. Its just another action movie aping and humping DIE HARD's carcas with the label name slapped over it. Its defective, its Chinese-quality beef. I demand a recall! As for teens, they'll go see it anyway.

That R-rated awesomeness with brutal kills, blood everywhere, cannibalism, nudity and screwing...a man's man movie. Then CONAN THE DESTROYER was rated PG. That's just so wrong.

I'm still seeing that it hasn't been rated yet.
If it IS PG-13, it's dead in the water. It might not be a BAD movie, but that's like trying to make a sequel to COMMANDO and have it be PG-13.
Nonsensical, and almost downright stupid.

I saw the trailer, was too was amazed of how much CGI was put into this film. McClane should be a hung over cop with an attitude, not flying jets over citys and ducking under flying cars that just barely miss him (cue action movie cliche #162)
PG-13, R, doesn't really make a difference to me. They will still keep the famous line in, and you could get away with quite a bit with a PG-13 movie these days as long as you edit right.
