I had a sister that was like 9 years older than me and her boyfriend was a big grunge fan. He had the Mother Love Bone CD. I tell you what, people talk shit about grunge... but think about it, actual REAL music was popular for a couple of years. It wasn't the best rock music, but I'll take it over what's going on now anyday.

I tell you what, people talk crap about grunge... but think about it, actual REAL music was popular for a couple of years. It wasn't the best rock music, but I'll take it over what's going on now anyday. A freaking men. The mid 90's were one of the most ambitious and booming eras for music IMO.

Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Soundgarden. Thats my favorite era of music ever, and rap music was real good back then too...

Didnt there singer OD? Alice in chains was cool, but Layne OD'd too Ya Andrew Wood od'd on heroin, but i think it was an accident. & Layne was in so much pain from all the affects heroin had done on him that he took speedball which killed him instantly.

I love grunge.
However, I hate pretty much everything spawned from the era of post-grunge.
There are a couple of bands that I LOVE that are debatable, but they've both really leaped across so many genres at this point you can't really even put them in grunge OR post-grunge anymore.
Those two being The Smashing Pumpkins and Silverchair.

Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Soundgarden. Thats my favorite era of music ever, and rap music was real good back then too... You forgot Candlebox in there, but i forgive, they were less famous than most Grunge bands.
