I don't call people dumb but sometimes gotta assert myself if I see something I know is wrong. LIke when people talking about soda and drinking it I WILL tell them they're wrong even if they don't like it. And if they wanna get upset and say im hurting them thats their problem. People can't be so sensitive about what others say they have to stand up for themself or go down.
If someone told my sister she would had a deteriorating spine I bet she wouldn't had drank soda. I think I have a right to tell people that so they don't ahve the same problem.

I agree that there are people who have trouble arguing things logically...sadly i find myself becoming one of them without really meaning too, usually while arguing with the said illogicals.

It is my business because I take it up with the entire country I live in. Problem with what you say is that everyone knows cigarettes cause cancer. Barely anybody knows how dangerous soda is. So I gotta do my part to help america become healthier society. Giving kids soda is like giving them a glass of candy bars. But parents don't know this and buy kids coke and mountain dew to drink all day long. Why do you think there are so many diabetics in america? That's another one my relatives got from soda. People are dying cause of soda everyday but you got commercials for ANTI CIGARETTES which isnt nearly half of the problem.

I don't go around tellin' people about it. Hell, I don't even pick on cigarette smokers. I figure, leave them to their own destiny. If they're happy doing it, fine. If you're living life the way somebody else tells you to, then you're not living your own life, IMO. And, this is my own personal belief, I think soda has been exposed enough, but nobody gives a f*** about it. Because it's soda.

Disagree by all means, but don't insult each other.
Wrestling fans should not be calling each other names.
We already get enough grief from non-wrestling fans.

See that's thing. No one raises any hell about soda but why not? People raise hell about beer. I see kids in teens take a sip of beer and parents go nuts on em. Or if kids are smoking cigarettes you see parents crying and punishing kids. But then soda just gets off hook. People act like soda isn't damaging to kids at all just because regulations and the law don't tell them it is. And because of that they buy their kids vats of the stuff to poison themselves with. No one gives a damn about it because people need to be educated and stop relying on the law to tell them what's good for em and what's not. If I had kids I would have beer and wine with dinner not soda. They wouldn't have soda till they were in their teens. If my kid wanted to smoke I'd let him too. He'd have to give me the money for em though and with EXTRA TAX for me.

He'd have to give me the money for em though and with EXTRA TAX for me. BECAUSE IT'S SODA! If you drink too much soda in one sitting, it doesn't impare (sp) your vision. It doesn't create poor judgement. The worst that will happen is you will feel a little bloated, and maybe puke. But that's because, like most things, too much soda will make you sick. Beer is DANGEROUS. And it takes a lot less beer than it does soda to make you sick and do damage to your body. You can't give beer as a replacement. It will only cause more problems. Same with wine. Now, in a perfect, happy-go-lucky world, we'd all have milk, or orange juice instead, because that stuff will help your body. Guarenteed, unless you have some sort of allergy. But yes, soda is unhealthy. So is beer. So is wine. But we shouldn't take away life's pleasures like that. IMO, soda is the lesser of two evils (comparing it with alcohol)

I have to agree with whoever said that you have to take the good with the bad. There are things that go on here that I'm not happy with. I try to keep calm about them or let the behavior blow over. Especially seance most of these behavior piss me off in real life too.

That is not true AT ALL!!!!! Beer is not unhealthy for you it is even HEALTHY. YOu have been told crap by society and psycho groups that want to push their beliefs on everyone. Alcohol is actually GOOD FOR YOU in small amounts physically, mentally, and socially but no one wants you to know that cause they want you to subscribe to theirs.
And WINE?! Wine is a problem causer?! Lemme tell ya, you should take a trip to europe. You really need to. Cause in Europe you'll find out how much you've been lied to here in the states. Go to a place like france and families are drinking wine there every night with dinner, including very young kids. And in other places you can go out and get GLASSES of beer when you're out, and they don't even card you or care. And they don't ahve NEARLY the problems with alcoholism that we do. I'm talking mostly inland europe not England, but their laws are more relaxed than ours also as they can drink at 18.
Beer is rarely dangerous. It's only dangerous if you're TRYING to make it dangerous. If you know you've had enough and you don't wanna abuse it you know when to stop. You gotta learn to drink. Beer will not cause problems if we TEACH KIDS THE TRUTH AND NOT LIE!!!

Beer will not cause problems if we TEACH KIDS THE TRUTH AND NOT LIE!!! I never said it was dangerous in small amounts. It's just if we make it too readily available, or if we say, "One or two is okay", then younger folks will take it to the extreme, and may have one too many, too often. Not to mention, our society is already far too different from those in Europe. If we lower drinking or smoking ages, younger folks are apt to take advantage of them, as means to rebel. If we lower the drinking age, we run the risk of kids going out and partying too often at too young an age. It becomes easier for them to get a hold of liquor. And obviously, there would be a need to put emphasis on not drinking and driving, which is already getting worse despite the best efforts of our government and ad agencies. I've lost many relatives to cancers and organ failures as a DIRECT RESULT of alcohol abuse, since it can be an addictive substance with certain people. Alcohol is not the solution to anything.

We already put emphasis on all those things. We have wars on drugs and alcohol and we can't stop telling people how horrible alcohol is for them and blah blah blah and we STILL have the problems we do. The abusive culture we have stems from prudish laws that try to tell people what to do with themselves. If you get rid of those laws it won't stop it immediately but over time it will become less of a conflict and problem. Treat people like adults and they will act like one.
You act like that cause alcohol is illegal that kids can't get ahold of it. Kids can. THey just find a bum to buy it for them or find the most liberal parents of the groups. And when they can get ahold of it they know its special occasion so they indulge in it. The problem isn't kids getting into bars and buying it problem is people trying to shift culture and human ways and getting backlash. We tried prohibition and it didn't work.
Alcohol isn't for everyone but it IS a solution to certain things. When I growing up I had no friends or anyone to talk to .But when i turned 18(drinking age back then) I was allowed to drink and go to bars. When I did that everything was better for me. If it weren't for social drinking I would have killed myself like I was planning. So don't say alcohol isn't a solution.
Just cause some people abuse alcohol doesn't mean that we should take it away from everyone.

If it weren't for social drinking I would have killed myself like I was planning. So don't say alcohol isn't a solution. Just cause some people abuse alcohol doesn't mean that we should take it away from everyone. That was a choice solution. You could have joined a sports team, a school club. A summer camp perhaps. Alcohol wasn't a necessary choice, and in either sense, it's certainly not the healthiest of choices. 16 year olds, or at least the vast majority, aren't ready to be treated like adults. They aren't mature enough yet. Putting a dangerous substance in their hands like alcohol could lead to serious problems. Small amounts can potentially, and often does, lead to larger amounts, or a daily intake with the occasional overdoing it on weekends or parties and such. Yes, prohibiton is not the answer. And I do believe that over a GREAT amount of time I'm sure the problem would lessen. But I think too many parents object to the idea of their kid drinking at such a young age, legal or not, and would try to keep their kids from drinking anyways, thus leading the child to secretly doing it, and overdoing it possibly to get their fill, thus leading to the problems I've brought up, etc, etc. But there will be families who have no problem with it. Some kids will not excess. But I don't believe there are enough responsible kids in this country to keep a lower-age requirement from having disasterous effects on their generation. But hey, I could be wrong. And so could you I'm going to bed. Good night.

Well my opinion is better than yours...I'm just jokin. I know exactly what your saying, I've left alot of forums because of that, I can't stand it. I used to post at NoDQ a few years ago and the people there got on my nerves, most not all. I love this place, everyone is pretty chill here.
