great flick man, I'm not a martial arts movie fan, or a Jet Li fan and I think it's a great movie. That should tell you something!

Errr... Sorry...
I know it's gotten great reviews, and it's definitely a beautiful looking movie, but I remember being just super disappointed...
Want to see the best Jet Li martial arts epic? Go rent Fearless...

Hmm... it' s very good for the fights and the action scenes. So if that' s what you' re looking for, yeah that' ll be great. But if you want a deep and original storyline... that's not gonna do it. But indeed, the fight scenes are great, no question about that.

Wonderful, moving, if simple story.
One of the better "martial arts epics" that Hong Kong's been sending here since Crouching Tiger.
And I still need to see Fearless.

Saw it with my martial arts club. I think they killed it, and its Thorazine slow motion yet beautiful action sequences. Watch house of flying daggers, much prettier.

I like this movie. Amazing use of colors. Simple, but moving.
I will say that I absolutely HATE Crouching Tiger though. The movie starts out with them trying to deliver a sword, which they never do, has a long boring flashback in the middle, and then they kill the best character at the end. I only paid a couple of bucks at the cheap theater, so, no big loss.

Isn't Hero where Dustin Hoffman saves people from an airplane?

Isn't Hero where Dustin Hoffman saves people from an airplane? hehe, actually you're right. that's also called hero, aka accidental hero (according to imdb.com) but i think that the jet li "hero" is far more famous now than dustin Hoffman's movie with the same name. so i don't think there's any confusion here edit: well, with the obvious exception of you ;D

Isn't Hero where Dustin Hoffman saves people from an airplane? an interesting note, there's also a movie called Fearless about a plance crash. Strange coincidence, 2 plance crash movies having the same names as 2 jet li movies.

Loved this movie. Loved the different use of colors for each different story. Loved the mental battle between the Hero and Sky. Loved the fact that it had a triple "damn, that would just SUCK" ending. It's what I enjoy about Asian cinema as opposed to American cinema. American cinema has too much emphasis on the happy ending. Asian cinema may have the hero winning, but not without great cost.

I misspelled nothing sir, and I resent the fact that you went to great lengths to discredit both my taste in movies and Jet Li's acting skills in Fearless... I say good day to you sir...
