Zelda, Super Paper Mario, Rayman Raving Rabbids, WarioWare, Excite Truck and Resident Evil 4(if you haven't already played it on the Gamecube or PS2) are all worth checking out. Also, Metroid Prime 3 comes out in August and should kick all kinds of ass provided they get the controls right.

I don't have a Wii but like the idea behind it. An innovative (and probably sometimes bothersome) control scheme. Also, dowloadable nintendo, super nintendo, n64, turbo grafx 16 and sega games. (I miss anything?) Plus I hear Twilight Princess and super paper mario are the bees knees. Enjoy.

Acressl, I haven't have any trouble with the controller yet. Before I got one, I was thinking the same thing. I was always like "Man that's gonna be cool, but there are going to be time I don't feel like doing all that." But when you get one it's not bad at all.
I download games like a mad man on Wii. I own Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Zelda.... then about 16 VC games.

Some games the controls get to you, but only because the developer didn't think it out.
Monkey Ball is a mixed bag, some of the best control on the system and some of the worst. Sega pretty much admitted to just trying as many things as possible and seeing what people thought worked.

Wii play is pretty good. Especially if you are going to buy a second controller, it costs 10 bucks more then a controller alone, but you get a game and a controller. and the games are at least entertaining for a while I also recommend Trauma Center: Second Opinion. and second the Super Paper Mario suggestion.

Congrats! I would like to buy one, but refuse to until I beat all of my unfinished PS2/PSP/PC games...

I've had my Wii since launch... camping out for a system in a good crowd is actually a lot of fun. As for games, obiviously Zelda, Smooth Moves, Elebits, and personally I'm fond of Actraiser, Kororinpa: Marble Mania, and Cooking Mama.

The Wii crowd was awesome on Day 1. I was there shooting the breeze with people of all ages and tax brackets, it was a lot of fun.
Wii Play is best with two controllers, as playing the two player games against yourself is so much fun. It really extends the rather short game play.
Elebits is good, kind of Katamari Damacy-ish in FPS trappings.
Trauma Center I heartily recommend, better than the DS game which is an amazing feat.
Spider-man 3 is a score if you pay $25 or less for it. I paid 30 and i don't mind, but it is short and limited. However web swinging is so much fun.
