which is a better Sgenesis WWF game? Raw Royal Rumble Wrestlemania? A matter of personal preference, really. It all depends on which game represents your favorite superstars better. Also, get Aladdin, definently. (LOL, I can't believe I said superstars and not wrestlers. Damn you E!)

I always preferred the Rumble. But that's just me. And I second the notion to get Aladdin.

I liked RAW... it was pretty cool. The animations have a better feel in Royal Rumble though. You know what? The RAW I had was for 32x... so get Royal Rumble. WrestlleMania was a dog.

Rumble has a more legend filled class than Raw does. Hogan, Savage, Bret Hart, and so on.
RAW has some good stuff too though, its a little faster it seems like, plus the Bedlam match type that RR doesnt (a 2-on-2 match with everyone in at once), which is ALOT of fun doing multiplayer.
I would pass on Wrestlemania, alot slower and with less moves than the other two.
The gameplay among RR and Raw is exactly the same, so its really just a matter of superstar rosters.
RR has Savage, Duggan, Hogan, Crush, The Model, Papa Shango, and IRS.
Raw has 1-2-3 kid, Doink, Diesel, Owen Hart, Yokozuna, Luna Vachon, and Bam Bam Bigelow.
Both of them have HBK, Bret Hart, Taker, Razer Ramon, and Lex Luger. Although RR has Narcissist Luger and Raw has the patriotic, "Lex Express" Luger.
...oh, and RAW has a slopbucket...no Goddwins, but a slopbucket.
And I'd go with Aladdin as well. Disney knew how to make some good games back then. Up until Lion King I liked all their games. Lion King sucked a little too much for me though, and for me they came out with crap until they put Squenix on speed dial.

It's not a slopbucket, its a SALT bucket.
Belong to Yoko.
Didn't RAW have cartoony special moves too? Or was that only on 32X?

I only remember 3 off the top of my head. 1-2-3 Kid did this weird top rope move where he'd jump from turnbuckle to turnbuckle before dropping an elbow, Luna Vachon had this weird spinning splash thing, and Owen Hart had the weird little "Whirling dervish" thing. Also, since you had the 32X version, tell me, did it have the mysterious ninja Kwang, as advertised on the 32X box?

You couldn't be him, but he'd do run-ins on you, and attack you. Oh, and the 32X version had a RAW Steel Chair that you could use. Innovative.

The only reason I even knew he was in the game was because my grandmother bought me a second copy of Raw, only instead of the original Genesis version, which I already had, she got the 32X version, which, to my knowledge, I still have, and it's never been played.

With the possible exception of Aladdin(I haven't played the Genesis version so I can't speak on it), all of the games you mentioned were better on the SNES. To be fair though, Mortal Kombat was never particularly good in any form. To answer your question, Royal Rumble was by far the best WWF game of that era. But in retrospect, that isn't really saying much.

Hmm, you want pre AKI games? Well, the only one I'm familar with is Wrestlemania, the Arcade Game. Did you like Mortal Kombat? Then you would like this one too.

Did they release Wrestlemania: Arcade for the Sega? I just remember the watered down SNES version.

Yeah they did... it was slow, with no special moves. Yeah that sounds fun. That was the first game I requested for the PS when I got one. Total Christmas mark out moment.

Wrestlemania Arcade. Man, In Your House was better.
...
What?
I didn't like the Mortal Kombat-esque button mashing... so I never really got into either one. :\
