A little list I'm in the middle of writing for something else. Let me know what you guys think. ==== 10. Andy Kaufman (David Letterman) youtube.com/watch?v=kv73yzYuE_MSure, it was worked, but not everyone, including Dave, knew it. And to this day, it still stands as one of the most memorable moments in talk show history 9. Ed McMahon (Johnny Carson) Though he was the nightly sidekick for Johnny, one of Ed's most memorable moments came when the two discussed Joan Embery, of the San Diego Zoo. Ed was completely drunk at the time, and got into an argument on-air with Johnny about something really trivial, even being reduced almost to tears at one point. 8. Madonna (David Letterman) youtube.com/watch?v=cRSP5ZUmxP8Madonna decides to give the network censors a workout. She ended up being banned from the show for a number of years afterwards. 7. Farrah Fawcett (David Letterman) Long out of the spotlight, Fawcett made the news again when she showed up on David's show and...well, no one's quite sure what was happening. Farrah was completely spaced out and the whole episode came off fairly surreal. 6. Crispin Glover (David Letterman) youtube.com/watch?v=ALapHYNSmoAMan, it sure seems a lot of these were on the Letterman show. Anyway, Glover may have been trying out a new character or something, but he forgot to inform anybody else, leading to Dave basically getting the hell away from him as fast as possible, especially after Crispin almost kicked him in the face. 5. Tom Cruise (Oprah Winfrey) youtube.com/watch?v=aOm6ThJWmF4We all know this one. 4. Harvey Pekar (David Letterman) Pekar was a regular on Letterman's show, and later was the subject of the film American Splendor. If you watch Splendor, you'll see they include clips from several of his appearances on the show. Except one, which they had to recreate entirely: Harvey's rant on G.E. While that episode isn't available, the follow-up is, in which David goes off on Harvey for his G.E. Rant - youtube.com/watch?v=iBr4NxujLvw3. Bobcat Goldthwait (Jay Leno) Goldthwait pretty much got himself blackballed from the show after lighting one of the guest chairs on fire during his segment. Smooth move, Bob. At least he turned it into a plus spoofing it on the Larry Sanders Show. 2. Burt Reynolds (Conan O'Brien) Burt was pissed off and looking to piss others off during his appearance on this show. Though it started off pretty bad, with him insulting and ultimately throwing a cup of water at another guest, the genius that is Conan's staff eventually managed to get it ended with a pie fight. It can be found in this segment of Inside Edition, which includes a few of the other above nominees: youtube.com/watch?v=mfunzu0-SAY1. Alec Baldwin (Conan O'Brien) This footage got a revival recently during Baldwin's telephone scandal. Basically, he not only wished death upon the family and children of those he disagreed with, he wanted to be the one to do it. All the while, he screamed and kicked stuff over. Classy guy. Honorary mention: Mariah Carey's nervous breakdown on TRL may not be considered a talk show moment, but it's close enough and pretty much led to the end of her career for over half a decade.

I remmeber Lee Corso the guy from ESPN college football was on a radio talk show and they made a joke about him posing nude and he got really angry with them and told them they were hurting his image. I thought it wass really funny cause they were all laughing and joking around and all of a sudden Corso just snapped and told them off.

Pretty damn good list, MC. Anyway, I give props to Pekar for telling Letterman off. That egomaniac (his abused writers got revenge, they created "Krusty the Clown" on SIMPSONS) basically used Pekar for a good series of appearances as a punchline before Pekar got fed up, not willing to play with the game. Thats why he rules, and why Letterman has been #2 behind Leno since the Hugh Grant interview. As for Andy/Lawler, That was a good worked promo. Lawler hating on Andy for making a joke out of Pro Wrestling and its fans...and Andy buzzed that he actually got hurt after wrestling women for months. Really, McMahon Sr. missed a good PR stunt by turning Kaufman down....and Memphis Wrestling gladly took it up.

A couple of others that come to mind:
- Kelsey Grammer getting in an argument with Leno and walking out.
- Andy Dick making a, well, dick out of himself on Letterman and getting kicked off the show.

I still like Hogan choking out that dude on some crappy late night talk show, Hot Properties, or something like that. The real maeltdown was MR T afterward. Everyone involved was backpeddling, trying to bring a certain amount of decorum to the situation. But Mr T was in "Suckers gots to learn" mode.

Hahaha... when the guy passed out Mr. T was like "He's just sleepin" or something like that. And this one, hot off the press from Deadspin.com, who just posted it today, Stephon Marbury making absolutely NO sense on some NYC talk show... www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yTjebH2fLU

That one was worked as well. He was supposed to go into an over-the-top political rant. Conan ended the segment by giving him an oxygen mask. It wasn't meant to be serious.

I remember Mae Young and Moolah on Conan's show plugging "Lipstick and Dynamite" and Mae grabs Conan's ass while hugging him, offering to show him the Bronco Buster move she did on Bischoff and then took out her falsie and shoved it in Conan's face. He was clearly flustered for real.

Rome really is an annoying little jerkface. That he is. Chris. *in rome's defense, Everett did have that infamous phantom sack when in one of the most important games of the LA Rams history. Jim didn't like to get hit. At all.*

I actually respect Rome for having the balls to say it to Everett's face.
I mean, it's waaay more than some of these other sports talk guys would do.
I don't see what so weasel-ish about it. Rome thought he was a big pussy, he insulted him to his face, and took the consequences for it.
I don't necessarily think it was classy on Rome's part, but he had the sack to do it to the man's face at least.
