OK, baskstory. I'll be turning 30 this month (F*** I'm old), and am making one last attempt at a driver's license. I know it sounds stupid, but my eye doctors for years told me that the damage was too severe for it to ever happen. Well, I've managed to pass the eye test for temps, and have been driving for about a year, so I figure give it a shot, right?
Anyway, I'm doing some car shopping, since if I pass I'll need to get a car. So, I figured I'd throw it to you guys for suggestions on make and/or model I should look into. Pretty much the only thing that matters to me at this point is gas milage, so any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

The best car I ever had was a 02 Pontiac Grand Am. Great gas mileage and comfy to drive. Then some b**** rammed me and my car went bye bye.

The car I've personally been looking at is the 2007 Toyota Corolla-S (the "S" is important, because it's cooler looking than the regular Corolla).
Sweet looking car and gets 28-35 MPG.

The Pontiac G5 would be the car I would get if I didn't get a free car for working at a car dealership. It gives you the best value for the least amount of money.

I'm hearing the hybrids don't save any money in the long run.

I'm hearing the hybrids don't save any money in the long run. In the long run they do, but the long run is like 10 years, and cars aren't supposed to last that long anymore.
