Does anyone take this seriously anymore? Last years winner was a drug cheat. This year's favorite tested positive & now the current leader has been sacked for drug offences. It's ridiculous, the whole sport of cycling needs to do something to clean itself up.

A bunch of guys in bicycle shorts showing off their package?
Meh. Never paid much attention, even when what's his bucket beat cancer and came back to win his 73rd Tour or whatever. Gimme horsepower and torque and road courses, thanks.

I'm really tempted to make an inappropriate dog-fighting joke...

I think there's happy medium to find when Champ Car and IRL get off their high horses and decide to stop the downward spiral of open wheel racing in the United States one of these days.

Anything is better then the rise of NASCAR I disagree. But that's another argument for another day. Let's just say that when your dad used to build race cars, you get a rather unique perspective on motorsports from the cradle ever forward.

Hey Spaz did you see the ads on SBS were Robbie McCwan(Or however you spell his last name) saying 'Watch Real Tough Guys. Watch The Tour Da France'.
Well when he failed to pass a stage and got eliminated I gave the biggest Austin style belly laugh ever.
Watch Real Tough Guys.......... ON Drugs!

Lance Armstrong came, saw, and conquered professional cycling. The fact that he never tested positive for any illegal performance-enhancing drug just makes his dominance more impressive. The second Armstrong retired, professional cycling died, it will never again be as popular as it was this past decade.

Yeah I have a chuckle that they are still running the ads with McEwan in them. I hope Cadel Evans wins seeing as he is a Northern Territory boy like myself.

Not a shocking news at all...
Seriously, how could these guys run for like 150-200kms EVERY DAY for 3 weeks, at an average speed of 40-50km/h without taking something?
It's not natural. Period.
Cycling got free passes as long as it had its "Poster Boy", now that Armstrong is gone and the media stopped caring about cycling, heads are falling like flies.
The fact few people were busted doesn't mean they were clean...
Cycling has to change: shorter stages and shorter tours are a fair beginning

Sorry... But the idea of motor racing as a sport has always been laughable and boring to me.
Hell, I see Poker is more of a sport than motor racing. Just the idea of guys going around and around in a circle turning left isn't all that exciting and is more or less a MASSIVE waste of gas.
But that's just me.
Shame about the loss of credibility in the Tour de France.

Yeah, I hate motor sports, but then I've never been that impressed by motor vehicles. Competitive cycling is a total ridiculous joke, it's true, however... the Tour started in London this year, very close to where I work, but there was no way I was going to see the start of the whole corrupt spectacle.

I still like watching it. Alot more than auto racing.
But then again I watch big sweaty men most of whom are on drugs every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and occasionally Sunday.
