Oh Schindler's List...Spielberg's attempt to slap a happy face on the Holocaust. As the late, great Stanley Kubrick put it: "Schindler's List is a story of a thousand people who survived. The Holocaust is a story of six million who died." It's nice to show props to Oskar Schindler for his heroics. It's outright silly to try and use his story to put a positive spin on the Holocaust, which is pretty plainly what Spielbergo tried to do. It comes off so false. There are far better films about the Holocaust out there. Alain Resnais' Night & Fog, for example. i would argue....but i just noticed the quote in your sig. so all is forgiven United under El Guapo we stand. ;D

Any movie that ends with a line of happily alive people celebrating their friend has a happy ending, even if the friend is dead and they're standing on his grave.

Duel.
Honestly. I voted for Duel. Let me explain.
I go to the movies to be entertained. I want to pay my $10 (or $5 at Blockbuster) to get a movie that I can sit down and enjoy. Looking through that list, he hasn't made many "enjoyable movies". Yes, they are great pieces of cinematic art, but let's take a quick look through the list:
E.T., The Color Purple, Schindler's List, Amistad, Saving Private Ryan and AI are all either too depressing or too boring to watch again and again. When I'm scoping through my DVDs for something to watch on a Sunday morning, I'm not grabbing Schindler's List or Amistad, because I don't want my day ruined.
However, Duel is entertaining, because Speilberg manages to get you absolutely horrified of a vehicle. Not a man behind the wheel, but a vehicle itself. And for what reason are we afraid of this truck? He hasn't killed anybody, he's not trying to kill the main character (well, until the very end). He just tailgates the guy and screws with his head. It's beautifully done, for a movie that has maybe only 30-40 lines of actual dialogue.
