As you may have guessed from the "18 and Life" thread I started a little while back, I'm a huge hair metal fan. Crappers who appreciate the lost art of Hair Metal join me here!

Some of it's good, some of it's not so great. Most is the latter, but there are a few songs here and there I enjoy.

Poison was suprisingly awesome live. And I dig 80s-era Kiss.
I don't understand why Faith No More's "Epic" is on the Hair Metal compilation they keep advertising on the tv, though.

I love hair metal. Rock/Metal is too serious these days and not as fun. I too love the Darkness, they're probably my favourite band of the last 10 years.

Because people who put together those compilations are uneducated tools. They put Tesla and Great White on there too, and they're not hair metal.

Hate most of it, especially Motley Crue but there's some good stuff like Kiss.

I love Hair Metal. Bulletboys, Def Leppard, Poison, Twisted Sister, etc. etc. etc. Twisted Sister may have long hair, but they ain't really Hair Metal. SOME Hair Metal is pretty good, but alot of the time I'd just prefer a kick in the crotch.

I really don't know the definition of hair metal...I always thought it was a combo of pop and glam metal...

Hair metal (Or cock rock) sucks. Def Leppard isn't Hair metal either. They are NWOBHM, just their sound changed over the years.

I like it... It may not be the most complicated and technically demanding genre in the world, but it's fun and it makes a nice background music.
