As the proud owner of both, it feels like I'm being asked to pick my favorite child. But I must go with the original Punch-Out.

Super improved on the original ... more styles of boxer, two special punches ... stronger difficulty (I STILL can't get past Aran Ryan) ... all around better.
Jed Shaffer ~But the original still rocks.

Jed Shaffer ~But the original still rocks. I definitely agree that Super is all around better. But I must disagree on the difficulty. To this day, I still haven't beat Iron Mike (or Mr. Dream), but I've beat everyone in Super in 35 seconds or less. As for Aran Ryan, super punch him, then when he does his little counter-grab thing, hit him in the gut to stun him and super punch him again, on and on until he's done.

Mike Tyson's Punch-out. The nerfing of Mr. Sandman for Super Punch-Out is a crime against humanity.

I could never get over the lack of rounds in Super. 1 round just never felt like enough. Plus it robs you of excellent dialogue like "BANZAI!"

I go with original. I like both but Super lacked something the first one had, I can't describe it in words. Also it was much more fun chasing Mike Tyson than some lame Bruiser Brothers. Maybe that's it. I never played Mr Dream stuff. I just wish they would somehow expand the original punchout today, same graphics gameplay everything just more boxers fight against. It never happen though

I grew up with the SNES so I vote for Super Punch-Out.

I gotta go with NES Mike Tyson, but the "original" would be the arcade Punch Out, with 6 fighters, including the only appearances of Kid Quick and Pizza Pasta, and Mr. Sandman as the final opponent.

Super Punch Out. Even though it was much easier, I just had more fun playing it for some reason. Plus I liked the characters better. For my money, Gabby Jay > Glass Joe.

Super Punch-Out...
It is way easier, but the animation and gameplay more than make up for it... I know it lacked many classics (Such as King Hippo and Soda Popinski) but it was just an all-around better game...

The one that had Mike Tyson, not the one with generic evil bald boxer, who looked remarkably like the boxer who came right before him.
