My local Best Buy is awesome, especially the prices on new releases. Plus all the ladies who work there are HAWT!

The Best Buy near me has great bundles on systems they are trying to sell. Like last year when I got my DS, they had a bundle that had crap DS games(bunch of movie games), but the real deal was the GBA games that came with it. Yoshi's Island, Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, and all the Pokemon RPGs for the GBA(Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald).
I ended up just buying my DS seperately and got Sonic Rush, Mario Kart DS, and Animal Crossing: Wild World(it was the only store I could find with Animal Crossing, and it was the last copy, and was hidden!).

::runs up, panting and wheezing::
Never fear...I finally saw the Godz Signal (I didn't know we had one of them. Awesome) and I'm here.
Best Buy does have pretty good prices on movies and CD's a lot of the time. The problem is the training, or lack thereof, that we receive. For instance, I was hired to work in the video game department (technically "media" which is video games, movies, and CD's, but I usually stick to the game/software aisle) well I know all about games so thats no problem, but I don't know a damn thing about the computer software, telephones, computers, or all this other crap that surrounds games. But of course that doesn't stop some dumbass customer from asking for help in the gaming department, then dragging me back to appliances to ask me about a dishwasher.
Oh well, what do I care? I only work there 7 hours a week just for the discount and a few extra bucks to supplement my main job.

(digital imaging) but because my dept is in between Media and Gaming I get a lot of those questions anyway. I also agree with you about the training or lack of there of. I was basically given a book with the whole C.A.R.E. thing and I had to take a few of the E-Learning test and they put me out on the floor. Everything I have learned about cameras I have learned on my own. Even with all of that I do like the place. The employee discount is outstanding.

The Best Buy I normally go to by my moms house normally as the best prices on CD and DVDs. When it comes to new Wrestling DVDS Best Buy or Walmart as the best deal.

I love buying CD's from Best Buy. If you go to F.Y.E you'll probably pay around 19.99 for a CD. At Best Buy you pay 11.99.

My Best Buy is a great place for computers. If you have ANY questions, you talk to the MORPG players (and yes, they are staff). If there is ANYTHING about antivirus, computer performance, or gaming, at least one of them knows. at ours, they seem to rip people off. My friend Will and I were walking by customer service one time and overheard one of the "computer experts" charging a lady $45 to run a spyware scan using a program you can download for free on download.com. If they're gonna charge people that much, at least use a freaking paid spyware program. we were really thinking of going up to that lady and telling her what they did but didn't. But they do have lots of good sales on dvds a lot. --------------------- as far as our Gamestop goes, that place freaks me out, cause just as soon as you walk in, you got 3 people giving really fake corperate smiles and yelling out "do you have any trade in's sir? ??" "do you wanna pre-order ________ today sir??" "Are you gonna buy _________" today sir? " It's really creepy. I had this one guy who came up to me with a really huge sterotypical cult style smile the other day and he made me feel uncomfortable.

It's company policy, I doubt they are trying to creep you out.

well I didn't mean they were trying to creep me out, it's just that they are so fake about it, it comes across as creepy. I went to a new Game Stop here in town after I posted that, and the guy acted like a real human being and not a robot while still getting his plugs and pre-order stuff in but he did it at an appropriate time and with appropriate merchandise. Most of them you buy a Xbox 360 game and they ask you do you want to pre-order a PS3 game, that's not appropriate. My friend got Super Paper Mario on Wii, and when he went up to purchase it, that's when he asked him if he wanted to pre-order Mario Galaxy or something. It was at an appropiate time, and with appropriate merch. He laughed and joked with us when we were talking about how dumb Sony is for the PS3 crap they're doing, and agreed with us. He acted like a real person, not a pre-programmed robot, and that's why I will go back to that Game Stop, not the cult-like other one. He got his job done, while making us feel comfortable in his store, and that's all I want.
