I was thinking about it earlier for some reason. I know it still exists sort of on Saturdays, but it's just not as good. I miss the old lineups with Godzilla (man that show sucked), Sailor Moon, Voltron, DBZ, and I think Speed Racer? If Speed wasn't on I definitely watched it at night. And then the other incarnations with Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Reboot, DBZ, Gundam Wing, etc. I used to skip school sometimes just to watch Sailor Moon And I'd definitely hurry home to catch DBZ and Gundam Wing later on (I used to live near my school, so yeah, I was a lame walking kid). When they did the Midnight Run I was all over that, especially the Saturday Night ones where it was literally midnight and then all night after that. I miss those days. I've actually taken to watching DBZ again on Saturdays at 6:00 for nostalgia purposes, it's a lot of fun really.

Nope, I liked Gundam Wing and DBZ as a kid, but nowadays I'd probably hate that crap.

Kinda like I do with wrestling. I just can't get in to a lot of the new Toonami shows though, other than Bo-bo-bo etc because it's just...disturbing.

I don't particularly like Toonami nowadays, but I miss it in its prime.
I bought the DBZ season 1 DVD set so I get my DBZ fix there..but even so.
I miss Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, Outlaw Star, Reboot...etc. Oh, memories.

I totally forgot about Tenchi Muyo, and I bought the movie back in the day. Wow.
Same for Outlaw Star, that was an interesting show, but I always felt like I was missing something.

I miss the old versions, yes.
Back when anime was hitting its stride in the US. Of course....Toonami sort of lead to the idea that all anime, just like all video games, are meant for kids....which it is obviously not, but that's for another thread at another time.

Yeah, I can kinda see that. I still wish it was on though. Even if we were still in DBZ "We have nothing but Saiyan/Namek saga episodes to air" and Sailor Moon "Um, all we got is the SM-R dub by DiC" hell.

I'm a big fan of anime, but honestly I'm not much of a fan of really anything that's on TV these days.
I can't stand Naruto, InuYasha, or pretty much anything else on Cartoon Network except Shin-Chan and Blood+.

I hated Shin Chan at first but grew to like it.
Now I like Bleach, Trinity Blood (a little) and like, I try to get in to Blood+ but never have any idea what's happening. I just like vampires.
And I don't think anyone likes Inuyasha anyway, honestl....*gets killed by fangirls*

Early or semi-early Toonami is when I was most into DBZ. That stuff's so wordy, it's hilarious. I watched Sailor Moon, I won't say I didn't. I don't care for Tenchi Muyo. I don't care for Gundam (or big robots in general. Unless you're talking about Voltron). What else was there?

At the same time, I was also watching Cardcaptor Sakura(Cardcaptors), Medabots, Pokemon, and Digimon.
Wow...I just realized that in our childhoods, we watched some pretty girly anime.....but damn it, I don't care!
It is just...going back now and actually WATCHING the CCS and Sailor Moon dubs....ugh....the voices make my ears bleed! Atleast the Sailor Moon voices....I still mark out for the CCS dub opening, and the first Pokemon opening.

I've got the first two DVD sets of Voltron.
And Shin Chan maybe the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

The SM-R dub wins in one big way though because it had a song by Stan Bush in it though (yes, the "YOU'VE GOT THE TOUCH! YOU'VE GOT THE POWER!!" Stan Bush), in fact, I think it had two. How do I know this? I own the CD *sigh* Anyway, the DiC dub wasn't as bad as the later dub of Sailor Moon S which featured Haruka and Michiru as awkwardly close cousins rather than lesbians. Because god knows the kiddies don't need to know about lesbians!
