But what about the Predator owners? Anyway, some of "The Southern Expansion" has worked. Carolina, Tampa Bay, San Jose, Anaheim, Nashville(well, until they apparently move), Dallas, Florida Panthers (early years) What didn't work: Columbus*, Atlanta. *=I know, its in Ohio but bear with me for argument's sake. You know, I am thankful that Houston millionaire didn't get his filthy hands on the Edmonton Oilers and moved them to Smog City. I'm sure Canada would have gone to war with us if we had tried. A canadian guy bought the predators. Thats what started the talk of Hamilton. I hope they adopt the old Tigers name & logo

Hamilton has so I think that people may identify more if they used at least the Tigers name if not the logo

This just reminded me how much I loved NHL '94 for Genesis. Man, I loved that game...

Blame Bettman. He told the owner to go with the local group... the one with the lower offer. Damnit teams should sell to the highest bidder if the highest bid is a lot more than the next higher one.

I think history will be kind to Selig. He's kind of dopey on TV, but supposedly, if you're in a room with him without a mic, he's very smart. Selig has done some things to anger purists, but the results have been good thus far.

Selig has done some things to anger purists, but the results have been good thus far. Well, the Wildcard has worked. The All-Star/World Series home field advantage has worked. Its not that hes been a bad commissioner. Its just that while Tagliabue put this mantle of success on his shoulders whenever he popped his monotone voice on TV, we all remember Selig for alot of the not-so-good reasons. Think about it. What do baseball fans remember more? Selig installing the Wildcard playoff, or being in the stands and ordering Game Over for the All-Star? Raw deal? Maybe. But many fans, right or wrong, see him as the face of the MLB administration thats tried to avoid responsibility for the late 90s of the now-called "Steroid Era."
