Blain. If the fact that he was played by Jesse Ventura wasn't enough, he coined the phrase "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" in this movie.

I always liked Mac. Blain. If the fact that he was played by Jesse Ventura wasn't enough, he coined the phrase "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" in this movie. Yeah, I like to say that every now and then. Great line.

Chalk one vote for Poncho. If only for the line "Do you think you could have found something bigger". And I like Hawkins too, just because it's always a great bit of trivia that he went on to write Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout, Monster Squad!!!! and wrote and directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Well Billy was cool, especially challenging to go against the Predator with only a knife.
...but then he ruined his badass Native American credibility by screaming like a little girl when he died...
eh screw it *votes Dutch*

Hawkins, since I actually met him in person. He was quite cool.

Predator or Blain. Tough choice.
It's the battle of the famous former wrestler who ain't got no time to bleed and coined the term "sexual tyrannosaurus" against one of the most badass alien life forms ever.
*can't decide*

I voted Dutch, but the whole cast is badass. Though, if I HAD to pick my top 3, it would have to be:
1) Dutch 2) Blain 3) Predator
The ONLY reason Blain edged out Predator was for Sexual Tyrannosaurus.

I love "Predator." Love love love "Predator." Such a cool movie - and even better, it's an action movie where they actually give the guys some excellent characterization and you actually CARE about them. I especially love the homage to old war movies at the end credits - which Erisi showed in his original post. Although all of the characters are cool, I voted for Mac, just because they give you some hints about his backstory (battles in Cambodia, the flask that him and Blaine share, etc.) but he's still mysterious, with Billy in a close second.

Well I decided to break it down more and go through each person as they appeared in the movie;
Hawkins pleaded with the woman for her to come back with him. Pleading is a total non-cool factor.
Blain was probably the second coolest, simply because he had the mini-gun, however the fact that he couldn't kill the Predator for what it's worth, only makes his cool factor go down.
Mac was cool until Blain died, then he spent the rest of the movie being a complete baby mourning his death, then got tricked by the Predator into his own demise.
Dillon, I always felt sorry for him since he got his freakin arm blown off and really deep down knew he was going to die. Knowing that you're going to die is definately not cool.
Billy cried like a girl when he died, then in what has to be one of the more disturbing things I remember when I was younger, got his spine ripped out.
Poncho got accidently shot in the freakin head when Dutch moved, accidental deaths are NOT a cool factor. He's probably the most uncool guy since he spent more time getting hurt than actually doing anything else.
Dutch wins by default by not dying, he outsmarted the Predator, killed it without a gun and had the coolest lines in the movie.

Tough call here. Blain is eliminated immediately because his name is Blain. Mac shaving for no reason is pretty badass, so I vote Mac. Plus i am a Bill Duke mark.

I love Blain and all, but I voted Billy. Because:
1. He uttered the line "We're all gonna die." 2. For the awesome laugh. 3. He was the only one to take on the Predator in hand to hand. No sneaking around in mud or hitting it with a spiked log. Sure, he died almost instantaneously, but still...
