I'd like a Green Arrow movie, but the comics version of GL and not the "Smallville" version.
I'd also like to see the Flash on the big screen.
We3 is technically a DC movie... I hope they don't screw this one up.
As for Marvel, a Dr. Strange "year one"-type story would be interesting.
Other publisher's books:
Living in Infamy: witness relocation program for super-villains.
Boneyard: young man inherits real estate, finds out it's a graveyard filled with monsters. But it's the townspeople he has to worry about... Great for an animated movie.
Bone: everyone here has heard of Bone... it's mystifying why they haven't done it yet. Maybe Jeff Smith can't find someone to do it right...
Common Foe: during WW2, US and German soldiers accidently open a portal to Hell (or something) during a battle, and have to work together to shut it.
Godland: Jack Kirby-esque cosmic chaos. Awesome.

I'd rather have Quality than Quantity
As said before Marvel has one out nearly every month and most of em suck,
DC has had a few bad ones (Batman & Robin) but most of the DC movies are very good

I'd love a Justice Society WWII era period piece, but that's probably just me. You KNOW it's me too, mang. Ok opinion noted now answer the Question. That is my answer, Bob. Marvel is better than DC. Not only is that no answer, but even if it was, it'd be the wrong one.

/\Marvel was better than DC about 8 years ago. since then, with the exception of a couple things (Morrison's X-men run, Johns' Avengers run [notice a pattern here?] and Avengers Disassembled [the only thing Bendis ever wrote that I really like]) DC's kicked Marvel's tail in everything.
and I have to agree that DC is sitting on a veritable gold-mine of great movie potential; Green Lantern, The Flash, JSA (either the WW2 version or the newer one would make GREAT movies), Shazam!, some of the Wildstorm stuff (The Authority, for instance). all would work. infact, IMO the only major DC property that would be too hard to film would be Wonder Woman (if only because the character is uncastable). it probably comes down to WB not having enough faith in it, because that's the only reason I could see why they aren't pumping out superhero movies on an assembly line.
I mean sure, Marvel makes a lot of movies, but how many of them are GOOD? Iron Man looks like the first good one not named "Spider-man".

The pattern I see is that you like Johns and Morrison. That's not really a pattern though.

the pattern is that they both write for DC now. I was implying that them leaving had to do with marvel sucking, but it's not the only reason

I want Green Arrow from DC,that will be cool If they did it right, a Green Arrow movie would be awesome too. There has been talk about a Green Arrow movie. Only problem is that the story is Green Arrow being framed for a murder and being locked up in a super villain prison. So more of a prison movie with Green Arrow than a Green Arrow movie.

the pattern is that they both write for DC now. I was implying that them leaving had to do with marvel sucking, but it's not the only reason I'm aware who they write for. I was merely remarking that this whole thing boils down to simple preference and opinion. You think Marvel sucks right now and DC doesn't; that's all I see, and I differ. Some people like Johns, some Morrison, some Brubaker, some Bendis, etc. For example, I would rather read PAD's X-Factor (current or past) than a single thing Johns or Morrison, or pretty much anyone, has ever written.

The reason why there are more Marvel films than DC films? Mostly because while Marvel has...well, Marvel...DC is owned by Warner Bros and thus, it's only a small part of a much larger pie. WB has tons of other properties to concentrate on, from the old Looney Tunes, etc. WB just isn't as dependent on moving the DC characters as much as Marvel is.
Also, it helps that Marvel had a massive string of huge blockbusters in a row, while DC had, well, Catwoman. Now that Batman Begins is a bona fide great hit and Superman Returns wasn't a complete disaster, they are indeed turning towards several characters, including the three most mentioned here (Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Shazam/Captain Marvel) as well as Wonder Woman.

The Question. Film noir type movie. Played by David Duchovny.
The Creeper. Funny/disturbing movie. Played by Jim Carrey (please no replies about he already did that movie except it was called the Mask)

Personally, while I enjoy characters from both worlds, the only notable guy I like seeing on the big screen is Batman. I think Spiderman and even the X-Men fell a little short.

I think DC could make excellent movies based off of the following: Green Lantern - The effects are finally on par with the idea. The only problem would be whether to have it be based on Hal Jordan or Kyle Rayner Green Arrow - Make it a little dark in tone, No elaborate trick arrows, no wards on Heroin. The Martian Manhunter - I always like J'onn and thought they could pull out an excellent flick Birds of Prey - Yes, I know there was a short lived TV series, But as long as they keep it serious, and close to the comics, I think it would be good.

if they do a Green Lantern movie, they'd have to do it with Hal. I mean, I like Kyle and all, but if you're gonna do a superhero movie, you gotta go with the original. the only exception I'd make is that I'd much rather see a Flash movie about Wally West than one about Barry Allen (heck, do it about Wally trying to live up to Barry's legacy and it writes itself).
