I've frequently found myself wondering why it seems that every few months there's a new movie based on a Marvel character coming out, But movies based on DC characters are few and far between. DC is owned by Warner for Pete's sake! Personally there are several DC characters I think would make excellent movies, what are your thoughts, my fellow crappers?

A Green Lantern film would be quite cool. As would a Captain Marvel one, though I guess they'd have to call it Shazam.

I could see why they would hesitate on a GL film in the past, But I think at this point in time they would be able to do pretty convincing CGI for his ring constructs. 10-15 years ago it would have looked too cartoony.

I'd love a Justice Society WWII era period piece, but that's probably just me.

In general Marvel's characters have historically been better than DC's, hard to argue there, but with the right story MOST any character can be interesting.

I want Jake Gyllenhaal to star in a Batman Beyond movie as Terry with Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne. Replace Michael Keaton with Clint Eastwood and I'd be first in line.

I like Marvel more than DC, but Batman Begins > Everything else.
Then again, that has less to do with it being Batman than that it was Christopher Nolan making a Batman movie starring Christian Bale.
