Just came across this on youtube. Good god I had forgotten how much I loved this song ten years ago. I use to barrell down old farm roads at top speed with this blasting over and over. The video's a little weak, it's a no-budget indie production, but damn I still love the song. The band is Spot, performing their song "Moon June Spoon": www.youtube.com/watch?v=tngN0vUtXbE

My favourite song of 1997 would have to be Bruce Dickinson's ballad "Man of Sorrows" from Accident of Birth

1997 was a great year for music because of the variety, which we dont have much of now. Say You'll Be There was one of my biggest faves from that year

On the Spot song? Probably. It didn't really catch on to the local radio where I was until 97 though, and that's when I bought the cd.

My favourite song from 1997 is either "The Grouch" by Green Day or "The Unforgiven II" by Metallica.

I thought it was going to be "Your Woman" by White Town.
That song gave me the willies. Whatever those are.

"Smack My Bitch Up" (Prodigy) "The Memory Remains" (Metallica) "Setting Sun" (Chemical Brothers, released late 1996, first heard it in 1997) "Mo Money Mo Problems" (Notorious B.I.G) "Bacherlotte" (Bjork) "Home" (Depeche Mode) "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" (Busta Rhymes, back when I liked him) "Barbie Girl" (Aqua) "Still Waters Run Deep" (Bee Gees) "Around The World" (Daft Punk) "Cosmic Girl" (Jamiroquai) "The Impression That I Get" (Mighty Mighty Bosstones) "We Have Explosive" (The Future Sound Of London) "A Song For Mama" (Boyz II Men) Aw heck, even "As Long As You Love Me" (Backstreet Boys, before they became "evil")
Fun memories in that year, and now I want a time machine.

1997 was a great year to be alive. A great yaer for music. And a great year for High School Graduates... of which I am one.
I couldn't pick a favorite song though... too many memories, too many goo dsongs
