This is my 2nd time getting the Red Rings of DOOOOOOOOOOOM from a 360. Last time I had to mail mine in and they sent a new one like 3 weeks later. Looks like it's gonna happen again

Damn.
I really hope they'll eventually manage to put together a 360 that doesn't have a built-in selfdestruct feature.

This why I abandoned video game industry. All they're concerned with is selling games making money not satisfying customers. They sell defective pieces of garbage and incomplete games. So I don't buy em. And then EA is only one allowed make NFL games and they make em bad and don't make strides make it more like a football game.
People say Nintendo Wii good but problem with Nintendo Wii is it don't have feature from what I know where you can play traditional. I like gimmick but I don't wanna flail my arms around every time I play new videogame. There should be feature where you plug in traditional controller play that way. Until they do that I ain't getting one.

I've had that three times now. It freakin' sucks.
What doesn't suck, though, is that I took it back to the store every time and got a brand new one. They didn't check the boxes, so I kept the controller. I now have five. Heh.

The best part is that the original Xbox could take a freaking BULLET to the case and still work after that (as it would ricochet off, there was a news item about such an occurrence a few years ago).
And here we have the 360, which breaks if you look at it menacingly. Oh well.

once I get some cash I'm considering abandoning the 360 for PS3 since I am so sick of this.

And here we have the 360, which breaks if you look at it menacingly. Oh well. That's true. The original Xbox was ugly as sin, but at least it was durable. You could drop the damn thing from a balcony and it would still be ok.

My 360 has held up reasonably well for about a year. I once got the red lights but fortunately it seems to have been a one-time occasion (happening due to a thunderstorm blacking out all electronic devices and the 360 not liking it too much), as the system has been working just fine since then...
Of course, the thing will probably blow up when I try to play Forza 2 tomorrow, or at the very least when I buy Halo 3 and/or Bioshock. Too bad it's apparently just a matter of time when the 360 decides to kick the bucket.

Have you tried blowing in the cartridge yet? Or popping it out and back in while the power's still on? That used to work for me.
