I unno Im pretty much done with High School and everything, but I was just thinking about it.
Why?
I mean just why do we learn this stuff? Why do people get to decide whats "knowledge" and whats not? Like over half the stuff is a bunch of trivial stuff that doesnt matter. I mean, sure, its cool to learn about the history of the world, how to do some math and stuff. But what the hell is the point in learning english EVERY YEAR. Ask some random guy what an adverb modifies. I bet he wont know. Why? Maybe cause hes stupid and didnt do school, but prolly cause he NEVER EVER used it. Like I said its just alot of trivial stuff thats never gonna come into play.
I mean unless Im gonna be a English Teacher, why get that far into it. Same thing with math. Its good to learn if you can and you should, but it prolly aint that neccesary to go all that far into it. History? You should prolly know the big things about your country, not all these little details like how many casaulties were lost at the Battle of Gettysburg.
I unno, was just thinking. Just sucks that so many people seem to think that knowledge is that kinda stuff. I mean you see someone win at that Millionare show, and everyones all like "OH MAN THERE SO SMART". All they did was memorize a bunch of questions and answers, just trivial stuff. I mean the final question for the guy who won the million first was 'Which of these Presidents appeared on the show 'Laugh In'". I know thats more trivial stuf and less "educational" stuff, but still. This whole world just thinks weird.
EDIT - Oh, and I know I prolly made a spelling error somewhere and someone may be all like "OMG HOW IRONIC WHOS STUPID LOLZ". Yeah sorry, knowing how to spell dont make you smart, and a typo doesnt make you stupid either. Then again that kinda stuff usually happens on other forums with less cool people...
