You know what helps? Keeping a George Foreman grill at your bedside, solely so you can wake up to the smell of freshly cooked bacon.

Generally if I get any more than 8 hours I am tired all day. On the other hand, if i get less that 6 or so, i am also wiped out. So perhaps you are getting too much sleep.
P.S. if you do choose the george forman grill, watch your foot. You wouldn't want to have to miss work cause you cooked it.

You're getting too much. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep a night. This is all one really needs. Sleeping too much or too little usually has the same effect on me.

well last night i actually had a hard time sleeping for once. I ended up falling asleep around 5:30am and woke up at 10. I guess I cant really say the problem is waking up, when my alarm goes off im awake and stay awake, but I guess the problem is more like im always so tired when I wake up. I could sleep for 2 hours, wake up and be tired. I could sleep for 12 hours and be as tired as I was only getting 2 hours of sleep. I think if I didnt have to be at work then Id prolly sleep my life away!
I dont toss and turn either, when im asleep im so far out of it its crazy! I'm going to try to wake up 2 hours earlier than I normally do and then see if maybe Im not so tired at work. I think waking up 30 mins before I have to work everyday and then going straight to work might be whats making me tired all the time. Either that or im a 65 year old trapped in a 22 year olds body..
Is that possible?...Atleast i cant still wipe my own ass

Try changing your sleeping conditions.
How much light is getting into the room? If the room is too dark, try adding some light.
What are you doing throughout the day that you could change?
What are you eating and drinking? Consider changing that.
What kind of alarm do you have to wake you up? Change that.
But go see your doctor if it's becoming a constant problem.

I have the opposite problem. I really really don't like sleep. Not insomnia, though I do get bouts of that from time to time, where I can't sleep.. just that I don't want to. If I didn't have to sleep, I wouldn't.

One summer, last summer, when I didn't have Summer Classes I stayed up till 7:00 AM in the morning and woke up around dinner time.
It was Godly.

If I didn't have to sleep, I wouldn't. I'm with you, I hate to sleep and waste my free time. The other thing is, I'm more tired waking up than I am going to bed.

Set your alarm 15 minutes before you have to get out of bed..Gives you time to get that feeling out
Also my mobile can have 5 different alarm times so I usually set 3 of them and place it out of arms reach so I have to get up to switch it off
Mixture of the 2 usually work

i do that. Ill set the alarm for some crazy time like 7am. Wake up go back to bed till like 9. Set it again till like 9:30, then go back to sleep and set it one more time for 10:15 then wake up for good. Tomorrow im going to try to wake up at 8am and stay up and see if being awake more than 15 minutes before work makes me not so tired all day. Now if i can jsut figure out how to actually wake up and feel refreshed instead of like I just had 12 hours of sex with Roseanne Id be alright
