"Club Dread" - one of the most clever comedies of all time, period.

"Club Dread" - one of the most clever comedies of all time, period. And you're right. That movie gets such a wrongful damn bad rap. If anything, take out the comedy, and CLUB DREAD still works (though not good) as a junker slasher movie. REally a love letter to the genre made by fans, unlike say the SCARY MOVIE franchise. "Peen-ah-lope!"

I saw Puddle Cruiser at Best Buy the other day and thought about buying it. Was it really any good?
For the poll, I gotta go with Super Troopers!

I didnt really like beerfest and i'veonly seen half of club dread so i guess super troopers wins by default since i've seen it. The one thing about Broken Lizard I dig is that they were fratboys, but they're creative, If anything, while OLD SCHOOL made an insane amount of money, its like a wannabe trying to pull a riff of ANIMAL HOUSE and FIGHT CLUB, but instead making you want to see those two movies again. But BEERFEST? Its like if a younger John Landis had shot it, but without the reverence for THREE STOOGES and 30s screwball comedies. I mean, look at OLD SCHOOL. You have Ferrell, Luke Wilson, and Vince Vaughn. The rest of that would-be frat house....you don't remember except the fat black kid who's ass gets caught on the sewer, or Ole' Blue, who dies sooner than he should have to be actually remarkable. With BEERFEST, Everyone on the American squad gets their moments, and you buy that they all would spend a year prepping for this FIGHT CLUB of beer tournaments. Plus, Jurgen Prochnow's Yankee-Face* Germans are such douchebags, you want someone to kick their ass. *=Jurgen, I believe, was the only actual German of that bunch, the rest Americans. Its like Denzel Washington leading a troupe of blackfaces.

Super Troopers, easily. But Beerfest gave it a run.
Club Dread I have yet to sit through, despite it being a horror spoof and it has Brittney Daniels.
Weird to think those guys formed at my hometown college.

Beerfest. I don't know why, but I just like it. Super Troopers is a close second.
