The difference is, many moments in CLUB DREAD plays just like a crappy generic-ass slasher movie. Trust me, I've had years worth of experience in watching that horror genre, and its obvious that the Lizard boys knew what they were doing. Plus..................you didn't laugh at Peen-ah-lope, or Bill Paxton's loser-poor man's Jimmy Buffet?

Are you telling me you prefer a dated-as-hell scene to a stupid then-popular beer ad to Peen-ah-lope? Hell, my friends and I quote CLUB DREAD all the time: *"Hank & Yu are dead!" "Are you threatening me?!?!" *"I've got to pump her....for more information." (Juan is the man!) *"Yeah yeah yeah, something about quarters and hiding the sausage." *"WHERE'S MY PENIS?!?!?" *The ending: "Oh come ON!" *"What do you mean you don't remember your own lyrics?!? You f****** wrote them!" *"I saw you eating watermelon today!"

I thought I was trying to launch your whole argument into space using your own logic. CLUB DREAD: Slasher parody with some funny s***. SCARY MOVIE: Slasher parody of a post-modernistic slasher movie, both of which sneer their noses at the genre. Yes Slashers have stupid stuff in those movies, but so do action movies. I just despise "parody movies" that just hate the genre in general.

All Broken Lizard's movies have their moments and their dumb parts. I like Beerfest myself just for the Germans. Also, I like it when the Farva guy is jabbing the other dude in the face with that doll. "It's frustrating, it's frustrating."

Troopers Club dread was OK but not great I seem to agree with you. As much as I enjoy CLUB DREAD, its editing is a friggin mess. The Broken Lizard gang learned the hard way that for a comedy, its better to keep jokes in the movie, rather than the story. Look at BEERFEST. They kept good jokes, whatever it hurts the story or not, and its a better movie as a result.

Though I must say about Club Dread that I thought when the bad guy's torso took one more crack at getting at them at the end was quite hilarious.

Remember his legs swimming afterwards? ;D How does one forget? Those guys are funny, no question, they just need to hone their craft a bit more. If you want to see how far they've come already, watch Puddle Cruiser.

To me it oes like this. Puddle Cruiser was kind of meh. Super Troopers was good, but I waited too long to see it and had high expectations, which it didn't quite reach. I wanted to see Club Dread in the movie theatre, but it was only in there for like a week, then when I finally did see it, I can't say I was entirely surprised it didn't last. That leave's Beerfest, which is hands down my favorite from Broken Lizards thus far.
