I keep seeing commercials for this on TV and it looks like a bad Sci-Fi Channel Original movie.

No... I'm not an idiot, and I'm not into going to the movies to see something that's so bad it's good... often, those things are so bad they're appalling... like Snakes on a Plane.
And please, don't anyone say "but Snakes on a Plane is the bestest movie ever ironysarcasm".

If it was puppetry and animatronics, instead of CGi I would be all over it.

If it was puppetry and animatronics, instead of CGi I would be all over it. I wish it was too. I'll be seeing it regardless, but, I'd rather watch suitmation and Harryhausen style minitures for the rest of my life than the latest "computer program in place of imagination".

I am, I think it looks like a really fun movie. Plus, I know some people that have already seen it (it was already screened in South Korea) and they thought it was a good way to spend an afternoon.

Transformers, not so much.

If this movie was shot in Korea and then badly dubbed, I would have gone see it.

I wonder where all the people are from the first D-Wars thread that thought it looked cool. It got pretty bad reviews in South Korea (by critics), but the average person seemed to enjoy it. Just don't expect a really deep story or great acting and you'll have fun

I wonder where all the people are from the first D-Wars thread that thought it looked cool. Is it really necessary for me to spout out Dragon Mounted Rockets in a 3rd thread about this? In either case I will tho.

If anyone wonders what I was talking about, here's The first thread. And no, I'm not saying to bump it or anything, that's the one I was talking about. It seems like this thread got an overwhelming negative response because of the initial negative tone.

It looks like a really good lazy Saturday afternoon movie, but not one I would pay to see. it'd be better if it had Tom Arnold and Sinbad.

Transformers, not so much. I think CGI is a good thing, which is unfortunately being used very lazily. But you can't tell me you think that they should go back and replace the CGI in the LotR films with a threadbare bunch of guys in suits shot from a few angles to represent a battle, and a claymation Balrog. Well, you can say it if you want, but you shouldn't.

The new Star Wars trilogy, that was dying to have puppetry again. Cool as it was to see Yoda flip around, he is meant to be a muppet dang it!

LOTR would have looked AWFUL in old technology, and you know it. Need I mention the name BAKSHI!?! Also, "Dynamation", (Ray Harryhausen's technique) took YEARS to make. The fight scene in "Jason and the Argonauts" where he takes on the skeletons took a year to produce. Studios don't have that long to wait anymore IMHO. And if you want to see what old school "blocky" Transformers would have looked like as live action, watch any Power Rangers episode and see if you can honestly tell me that would have done over 300 mil U.S. boxoffice.

I'm seeing Dragon Wars. The title alone, and the dragon mounted rockets, as well as the dragon versus a helicopter. Yeah.
