This was an awesome show and GREAT fun to play along with with friends. Plus it had #1 in it. What's not to love?

Yes and I loved this show. Mr. Genie Francis was great a Riker and the host of this show.

I still remember the episode that had Terry Funk in it as a wrestler who killed a fellow wrestler in the ring, and continued to wrestle the dead guy somehow for an additional 5 minutes or so. Also, the show was hosted by Commander Riker! Wait, was he a Commander? I never had a hard-on for Star Trek, but I loves me some pop culture references!

Everything about that show ruled. Johnathan Frakes is without doubt the most suave and dynamic host in the history of the "reality/fiction guessing game" genre. He makes puns cool.
Anyone remember the murdering chair of Napoleon? Or the countless "but it turns out that person died 20 years ago!" stories?

Somewhere around here, I've got a Beyond Belief book, which talks about everything from UFOs to giant birds to rains of flesh and blood.
Awesome stuff.

Not as good as the show in my sig, but still great nonetheless. I had two favs. One is where the kid goes in the closet and just dissapears in there, and it turned out to be fact... ?? Then a dirty lawyer falls on his pen and it goes through his heart, after his client told him to get the devils autograph or something like that.

This show was CLASSIC. They need to bring it back on Sci-Fi and/or release the DVDs in quick succession.

I remember this. Didn't get to watch it much, though as it aired real late. Like, 2am on Sunday for me.

Not as good as the show in my sig, but still great nonetheless. I had two favs. One is where the kid goes in the closet and just dissapears in there, and it turned out to be fact... ?? What happened was this little boy's older brother was a complete dick to him because he was scared of the dark and his closet. So one day the boy's older brother and his friends decide to screw with the kid and lock him in the closet. They force him upstairs and I think the kid pleads not to be put in the closet. So the older brother, setting out to prove the little brother is a chicken shit, gets in the closet. I think he starts screaming and his friends think he's f***in' around. After a while they or the big sister open the closet and the big brother is nowhere to be found. The cops come and classify it as a run away or such and I think the story ended up being true.

I loved this show. Now that I know it is on DVD there goes more money right out of my wallet thanks a lot Hehe, well it is rather cheap, I only paid like 20 bucks on Amazon. I'm sure it's cheaper in other places. But when I saw it was coming out, I preordered it so god damn fast. I hope it sells good enough so they put the rest of the seasons on DVD. This season has James Brolin on it and I hate him as the host

The show was OK. The idea was great, but I would have loved if each episode was a 30-minute episode, where the host then challenges people whatever to know if its true or not.
That way, whatever the tale is true or not, the audience is neverless entertained. But thats just me.
Remember the funeral home skit with Ron Howard's dad as the corpse?
