I don't know if these are supposed to make us proud to be canadian, but when I see the money of our overly high taxes being spent on these, I must say it almost convince me to vote Yes at the next poll on independance!

Cool ad campaign. I'd wish they'd do something like that in America but some of the top American ad guys have most likely forgotten their history. Sad really.

I'm so sick of people stereotyping us as dumb. Are there dumb people here? Of course because every stereotype always has a little truth in it, but it's when generalization happens that things get ugly.

An ad campaign like this wouldn't fly in America's climate. I bet other countries would laugh at us too. By the way the Superman one is complete B.S. Joe Shuster was a naturalized American Citizen by age 10, and Jerry Siegal was an American. Claiming Superman as part of Canada's national heritage is a wee bit of a stretch. I'm sure Canada can find many other things in their national heritage than having to stretch the truth and claim Superman.

I like how the "rough guy" in the Sam Steele ad was the chief in Stargate: SG1.
"Why didn't I shoot him?"
And I can't even think of estimating the number of times I've said to someone: "Now the people will know we were here," or "I smell burnt toast!"
Good times.

For ten years of his life, before Superman was a twinkle in his eye. I noticed this Ah I didn't. So they admit it's a complete stretch of the truth. Seriously, the Mona Parson's story is great and inspiring. But all this guy had was dual citizenship, and he lived most of his life in America. Not to mention he was only half of the team that did it.

If you want to get into technicalities, Baseball and Apple pie are both NOT American. With your way logic of thinking, they were made by Canadians. Just saying, that's all. EDIT: Joe Shuster also worked for the Toronto Star. Just because he became a citizen, does not mean he lost ties to his roots.
