I'd like to see almost everyone return with the exception of Pichu, Jigglypuff, Young Link and the Iceclimbers.
I will say, I'm going to be super pissed if they decide to can Ness or Falco.
Also the Ice Climbers stage wasn't the only one you could climb, remember the Pokemon floats, that was a lot of fun.
They also need to update Capt. Falcon, he sucked at almost everything on Melee. It's funny because I could hit at least 800 ft with anyone in the Home Run Contest besides him since he'd only get about 200 at most.

Also, who do you think the Animal Crossing character in the game will be? What I mean is, each stage on Smash Bros DOJO has a symbol at the top of the article, the symbol that is the same as the character(s) it is the "homefield" of. Smashville's symbol is the symbol of Tom Nook's store, and what most packaged items in your inventory look like, a leaf with a semi-circle piece out of it. I'm guessing it is Tom Nook himself, though that is weird, as in the first pic of Smashville, you can see Tom in the background......maybe this means characters can jump behind the rope line and watch the fight as well? With it being shown that atleast on the Rumble Falls stage you can interact with background items, like ladders, it seems somewhat likely....... I am still keeping my prediction of it being your Mii characters, though that doesn't sound like it connects too well. I dunno...if its Pinky (the bitch took my copy of Punch-Out!), then I will whip her ass on an hourly basis. As far as an actual character, I noticed that cop guy never showed up...and Tortimer could be the new Game and Watch in just sheer weirdness.

I've already mentioned this several times, and YL is superior in every way, other than throws. Adult Link was WAY too heavy. And the guy I managed to unlock Yoshi's Island Classic with in Melee, was Yoshi. His Down+A, where his feet flutter, is MADE for Homerun Contest. You can get it to 120% quite easily and still have time to spare to hit the sandbag with the bat. Good luck.

But trust me, I have fought people who are really good with Adult Link and fewer who are really good with Young Link. I fear those Young Link players. If you can become good with Young Link, you can take out about anybody. And yeah, Yoshi is the man for Home-Run Contests. I always used him unless I wanted to impress my friends and hit over 900 feet with Roy WITHOUT a bat. Just up smash until the guy says "4!" then start the B attack (forget the name), and he will unleash the most powerful version of it just as the timer hits 0. Any sooner and you miss a shot at hitting him with another attack, any later and he unleashes the weak one.

I've gotten about 900 with Yoshi. Fox is also very good since you can use his gun and get about 1200. The only person who can't hit above 400 is Capt. Falcon so I hope they improve him.
And I hate Young Link, he's quicker but that's about it really. I can smash people SO much quicker with Adult Link. I honestly deep down care which Link they use (obviously Adult Link is already in the game) but I don't like having the same basic character which is why I'm not liking the Zero Suit Samus, hopefully it's the same with Zelda/Sheik in that you morph.

Segata Sanshiro should be in this game, Forget Sonic. ...who? (one wikipedia search later) ...is there some youtube fad I missed out on, or was this just an obscure reference? Well, if hes a jab (no pun intended) at a legendary Judo fighter, then hell, put em in there. He'd have a heck of a movelist for sure.

I have to wonder, does Donkey Kong's Final Smash acutally do damage, or it is simply an in game time-out in which everyone just dances around?

I have to wonder, does Donkey Kong's Final Smash acutally do damage, or it is simply an in game time-out in which everyone just dances around? According to the post, pressing the buttons in tune does extra damage, so I assume it hurts people...though that is an interesting concept...just needs some tuning, like destroying all weapons or setting everyones health to an even amount, which I expect eventually. Maybe the ONLY way to do damage is by pressing the buttons in time, if you screw up it only stalls them...man, this would be diabolical to throw out in a tight time limit match. 10 seconds left, down by 1 kill, DK with 120% strength, you run at him, get an attack ready...then he pulls that out and stalls the last 5 or 6 seconds, allowing time to run out. Oh...for the real reason I came here, bumped for Pitfall. "Interesting that, yet again, we have another Animal Crossing related piece in Brawl. To me, an Animal Crossing related character is a given...but who? Let the theories fly boys! However, this item does seem interesting. Thrown on the ground it blends in completely until someone runs over it and they get trapped, allowing for free hits a plenty. Thrown at someone and they pass through any thin floors. This could be diabolical to set up for a mine underneath or bomb-omb (assuming they are in), or the like. This opens the doors for alot of stuff."

~~~~~~~~~~NEWS POST~~~~~~~~~~
Miyamoto announced today that Nintendo is looking at brand new major characters and franchises to carry onto the Wii and DS. Is the possibility of the purple guy from the "This world..." article being among them?
Discuss if ya want.
Oh, and also, Tokyo Game Show at the end of September. If there are any other REAL BIG 3rd party characters coming in, expect the bomb to be dropped then.
Bumped for the newcomer, Ike.
So we get a new Fire Emblem character. Safe to assume Marth and/or Roy are out now. I wonder which one Ike plays like, or if he'll be different from both of them.
But regardless, pretty freaking neat call, picking someone from a Fire Emblem we actually have here in America.
I cannot wait to give this baby a go.
As much as it's cool that we get this Ike character (no idea who it is) I'm kind of annoyed with so many realistic characters, hopefully they go back to more of the old Nintendo styled characters such as Mario and Kirby.
