My dog, Stinky, might have rabies.
He got in a fight a few days ago, and got mauled.
Today, he started spazming and seemed unresponsive. His tongue was hanging out, and he started wandering around the house like he doesn't know where he is, and bumping into things.
These are all symptoms. They are taking him to the vet.
Have any of you guys been in this situation? I feel cold, and on the verge of tears, but I need to keep a clear head until I know for sure.

Thank you, anyone, who posted pictures in the Sabin thread. I need a smile right now.

Particularly funny to me is Sabin holding Andre, Sabin with Edison, and Sabin Dropkicking a car while Shelley blows a kiss.

No offense, but I really don't find that funny right now.

Changed the title so it doesn't blend in. I'm hoping to find anyone who's had a rabid dog or other pet before, to know what to look for.

Yeah that's too bad to hear, what kind of dog was it if I might ask?

Yeah that's too bad to hear, what kind of dog was it if I might ask? Well, he isn't dead or anything yet, so it's not "Was" yet, thank God.... Anyway, he is a Chihuahua/Dalmation mix.

I might scan one. I don't have any online.
It's okay, chickenwhopper, I know you didn't mean it that way. He's a pretty unique breed. Think a small-ish dog with thick jet black fur, and large pointed ears.

Interesting. I had a dog that was a dachsund/huskey mix and people thought that was really strange too. He looked like a roided up dachsund with a tail that hooked at the end.

That sounds kind of cool. I also have two dachshunds who seem to be nervous, reacting to the stressful state everyone's in. My papillon mix is at my girlfriend's, but she isn't here too often, so I don't think she knows Stinky that well, anyway.

UPDATE:
The doctor apparently said to just keep an eye on him and give him an Ibruprofen for the time being.

Well, that sounds alright for now. If it was rabies, I don't see the doctor sending him home with you.
Hope he does better, man.
