Well, that sounds alright for now. If it was rabies, I don't see the doctor sending him home with you. Hope he does better, man. Thank you. By the way, scratch that last update. It turns out they think he either ate something in the trash that made him sick, and he quite possibly has dog epilepsy. He said to keep a siezure diary of episodes, and rabies is more or less ruled out. Thank smurfing god.

So is it ok to do Cujo jokes now?
I hope everything works out for you man. It's always tough when a pet is sick.

Thank smurfing god. good. i was really pulling for you man. i've had a dog get rabies and there is nothing more sad to see. we kept him in a kennel during the night (otherwise he'd just thrash the house) and i let him out one night to go potty and he got into a fight with something (my guess is a raccoon) and when he came back in he was cut a bit, but nothing too serious. put him in the kennel and after a day or so he was seemingly psychotic. the foaming at the mouth thing is real too, i thought it was just a cartoony thing... its alot scarier in real life. it was just so sad to see my buddy like that... just completely out of his mind... just kinda tearing up typing this, ya know? good on you and your dog. i hope everything turns out wonderfully! keep updating.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. The fact it seemed to show up that fast with you gives me hope that we're out of the woods with this risk.

No, my girlfriend did, but that was due to her breaking her hip and being paralized. They had to put her to sleep because her odds were NOT good, given her low body fat(slim dog), and age(11). Thanks for your concern all the same, though.

I got a new one a purebread German Shepeard now its 5 months old Sounds like a peaceful way to go, at least. Our dog died in her sleep like 4 years ago. She was 18 years old, some Shi-Tsu looking mix. Blind, deaf, and hobbling by the end of her life. My weiner dog Little Poop would be her constant companion to try to lead her around and to food. He is probably one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met, even if he really can't stand human children.

glad it should be doing good, one of my dogs has had a lot of seizures but shes doing fine. She's a miracle dog though because she lived without a scratch on her after being ran over.
if any of my dogs had rabies i dont know what I would do, i love them so much....

I had a dog that had really bad seizures..The vet gave us this liquid medicine for her and she never had another seizure in her life. So there's stuff they can do for him to make him stop having them. Glad to hear it wasn't rabies.

I'm very glad for you that it's not rabies and even happier that your dog seems to be doing better.
