But if you wold have never bought the album anyway they aren't losing money. The only was they lose money here is if the people willing to pay for it all along decide not to..and those people; and probably more who just respect they are doing this will probably buy. Yeah, but I might've. The only CDs I usually download for free are ones I can't find, but this could sway my opinion. Maybe. It's all just speculation right now, I'm interested in seeing the outcome.

I might buy the £40 box-set. They don't really need the money though and it's a wonderful idea.

I'll pay for it. They DID do work in recording it and all. Not much, though. Note: They are offering a CD with artwork, a vinyl LP and a bonus disc of extra songs/b-sides. Only $80, I believe. Jed Shaffer ~Yeah, I'll go with the download. I love it when musicians decide to release on vinyl. Good for Radiohead. Most everything is still released on vinyl. It's just way more expensive. Letterman's guests who are musicians always seem to have vinyl.

I'll download it at first without paying and if I like it enough, I'll go back and DL it again and pay $10 or so. I like Radiohead, but I haven't heard any previews of any of these songs. So I'm not gonna pay them $10 right off the bat for an album that I might end up not even liking. If I like it enough, I'll just go back and pay them afterwards.

If you're signed to a label and tour, you've already made your money. If cd sales are that important, they wouldn't be sold for almost twenty bucks american. No cd is worth more than that $10,especially in the age of itunes, ipod etc.. Every major label is sticking it to you,and deserves to be ripped off.The irony is,that I buy almost every cd second hand, either through ebay or 2nd hand music stores, and I've yet to hear one artist complain about that. There is no difference. One person bought it,and now others will pass it without the band getting paid.If Radiohead is doing this independantly, more power to them. They are one of the few bands that actually deserve to be compansated for their work.
this is a publicity stunt, and I hope it pays off.Maybe America will bite on something good so I don't have to hear Nickelback on every freakin preset on my car stereo.Seriously,Every God Damn day "i wanna be a rockstar..." on at least two stations at once...WTF!!!
