Do creature tokens stay in play? I've always wondered that.. Depends on the token, things created by say the serpent generator do.

Joker, if I had Miraris's Wake in play, tapped a land for extra mana, sacrificed a mana for Squirrel Wrangler's abilities.. could this work?

Joker, if I had Miraris's Wake in play, tapped a land for extra mana, sacrificed a mana for Squirrel Wrangler's abilities.. could this work? Assuming you are using forests you could tap one forest to create two squirrel tokens, these would be 2/2 each due to the enchantment. If you then tapped another forest for two mana and sacrificed a forest using that mana you can then bump there p/t by +1/+1 each.

What about Squirrel Wrangler? Tokens are just like creatures, except when they die they don't go into your graveyard. So yeah they stay in play. Actually, tokens DO go into the graveyard when they die. Just a clarificaiton. (unless you're not talking about creature tokens and i just completely missed something in the other posts) But yeah, ALL creatures go into the graveyard when they die (unless stated on the card). Since they are tokens you don't get to actually "see" them go there and there isn't a card placeholder for them in the graveyard, but rest assured ... they went there. Instant decay, not reanimate ability or anything. So, if you had 50 squirrel tokens on the board and an enchantment that said you gain 2 life every time a creature goes into the graveyard, then yeah, you would've just gained 100 life if someone threw down a Wrath of God. Edit: Being "removed from the game" does not equal "death" by the way. I assume that goes without saying ... but I'm adding this in and saying it anyway.

Edit: Being "removed from the game" does not equal "death" by the way. I assume that goes without saying ... but I'm adding this in and saying it anyway. Yeah that's true. I meant you can't say use 'animate dead' on a token. From the actual current rulebook on the main website. 216. Tokens 216.1. Some effects put tokens into play. A token is controlled by whomever put it into play and owned by the controller of the spell or ability that created it. (If no player controlled the effect that created it, the token is owned by whomever put it into play.) The spell or ability may define any number of characteristics for the token. This becomes the token’s “text.” The characteristics defined this way are functionally equivalent to the characteristics that are printed on a card; for example, they define the token’s copiable values. A token doesn’t have any characteristics not defined by the spell or ability that created it. 216.1a A spell or ability that creates a creature token sets both its name and its creature type. If the spell or ability doesn’t specify the name of the creature token, its name is the same as its creature type(s). A “Goblin Scout creature token,” for example, is named “Goblin Scout” and has the creature subtypes Goblin and Scout. Once a token is in play, changing its name doesn’t change its creature type, and vice versa. 216.2. A token is subject to anything that affects permanents in general or that affects the token’s type or subtype. A token isn’t a card (even if represented by a card that has a Magic back or that came from a Magic booster pack). 216.3. A token in a zone other than the in-play zone ceases to exist. This is a state-based effect. (Note that a token changing zones sets off triggered abilities before the token ceases to exist.) 216.4 A token that has left play can’t come back into play. If such a token would return to play, it remains in its current zone instead. It ceases to exist the next time state-based effects are checked.

Used to play in high school a lot and was a jobber by using a Goblin deck, but it was the best way for me to socialize and it worked good enough. Before 8th edition, the cards were at its pinnicle...now and days its just overkill, even though they just released 10th edition, I may check it out. Cards I like: img.ccgdb.com/mtg/cards/20/Evincars_Justice_1.jpg[/img]If you can't see by now, I love sorceries and enchantments. Ever since Goblins, creatures just do not have it in me.

I got into it around 7th Edition, but haven't bought new cards in nearly 2 years. I still have all my old ones however. I don't get to play that often anymore (my CCG playing friends being into the WoW card game now).
My preferred colors are blue and white.
I can't think of a favorite card off the top of my head.
Fun Fact: The first time I ever played Magic was in an unofficial tournament. I ended up taking 2nd out of 8 people. Yet when I play with my friends I lose all the time.

I was into black/blue control decks in my days at the local tournaments. I miss those days. Hasbro bought WOTC and cancelled Friday Night Magic. Then they gave the cards a new design that looked totally cheesy, as if made by some noob on MS XP. That finished it for me. I would like to get back into it if I could afford to keep up with the sets that come out way too frequently.

Currently, I use either my Blue/Black Equipment Deck (Vulshok Gauntlets + Yotian Soldier = Win!) and a Red Blitzkrieg Deck (I made up the name right now, but essentially I use it for quicker games because everything costs very little and can do almost immediate damage).
As somebody said earlier, I was creating a WWE/TNA Deck, here are a few of my favorites...
OVW - Artifact Tap 2, Create a 1/1 Jobber Token, if you cannot pay 2, destroy OVW.
Undertaker's Urn - Artifact Sacrifice Urn, bring creature from you graveyard back into play under your control. Tap 5, bring creature from ANY graveyard back into play under your control.
Safe Style - Enchantment Target creature cannot use it's abilities.
Blind Tag - Instant Switch target creature taking damage with another creature you control. (I.E. You give damage to Creature A, I switch him out with Creature B to save Creature A).
SPOILERZ!!1! - Sorcery See top 5 cards of your library, take 1 and put the rest back in any order.
Spirit Squad (Kenny, Mikey, Mitch, Nicky) All 1/1 creatures, but gain +1/+1 for each other SS member out.
Finlay (2/3, First Strike) Tap 2 and Finlay, create a 1/1 Little Bastard Token.
Undertaker (5/7, Flashback) Tap Undertaker, bury target creature.
Team 3D (Devon 3/2, Ray 2/3, Runt 1/2, +1/+1 For each other member out) Dudley Death Drop (Tap any 2 3D members for combined direct damage to target creature)
Mick Foley (2/2 Legend Creature) Faces of Foley - Tap 4, transforms into Dude Love (2/6), Mankind (4/4), or Cactus Jack (6/2)
Goldberg (6/6 Legend Creature) Career Ending Injury - Tap 5 & Goldberg, Target creatures stats reduced to 1/1.
Hulk Hogan (5/5 Legend Creature) Hulk Up - Gains +2/+2 when blocking.
Elmination Chamber (Artifact Land) Tap 5, tap Elimination Chamber and each player puts 3 creatures into the Elimination Chamber. Opposing players chooses odds or evens, and a dice is rolled, eliminating a creature for each number (odds or evens) until one player has no creatures left in the Elimination Chamber.

I played around the Oddesey block, then stopped as soon as the next block came out. I had a green/blue squirrel deck that actually did pretty well. Basking Rootwallas are awesome. Counterspell being kicked out of Type 2 killed the game for me, because that's what I usually built my deck around.

squirrels seem popular ... can't say I'm a fan myself as the only card I have that deals with the little rodents is this one ... Oh and for those who haven't played in a while ... the biggest (official) creature made so far is ... (drumrole) ... (Highest toughness anyway)

I played a little back when I was in college. My favorite card was the "black plague of death" card, which would end the game instantly. It wasn't a playable card. I got the card in a pack and it was just completely black, so what ever was suppose to be printed on it never got printed. I never played it, but I thought it would be funny just to play it once against a friend just to see what the reaction would be.
