Well it's almost that time again, and the first set of preseason polls are out.
USA TODAY Top 25
1. USC (Pac-10) 2. LSU (SEC) 3. Florida (SEC) 4. Texas (Big 12) 5. Michigan (Big Televen) 6. West Virginia (Big East) 7. Wisconsin (Big Televen) 8. Oklahoma (Big 12) 9. Virginia Tech (ACC) 10. Ohio State (Big Televen) 11. Louisville (Big East) 12. California (Pac-10) 13. Georgia (SEC) 14. Auburn (SEC) 15. Tennessee (SEC) 16. Rutgers (Big East) 17. UCLA (Pac-10) 18. Penn State (Big Televen) 19. Nebraska (Big 12) 20. Arkansas (SEC) 21. Florida State (ACC) 22. TCU (Mountain West) 23. Boise State (WAC) 24. Hawaii (WAC) 25. Texas A&M (Big 12)
New season begins August 30.
I'm hoping FSU has a better 2007. And I can't say I'm surprised by them ranking Boise State low on the poll despite them beating OU at the Fiesta Bowl.
But I am surprised that Notre Dame isn't ranked.

I am a huge Michigan fan and there is no way we should be at 5. We lost way to many people on defense to be that high. Top 10 or 12 yeah, but 5 is just setting us up for a bad fall.

Wow, Shocker, Look who is #1 again..... And as much as I hate to say it, they'll be #1 at the end of the season. Last season was supposed to be an off year, yet they lost 2 games on the road and destroyed Notre Dame and Michigan. And they return a lot of that team. I don't think Florida will be a top 5 team this year. Yes, they won it all last year, but they lost a shitload on defense, and Tebow still isn't a proven QB. I'd rank West Virginia ahead of them. West Virginia's got the best running duo in the nation with Pat White and Steve Slaton, and White proved last season that he can throw the ball. That Big East race is going to be fun. You've got West Virginia, Louisville, Rutgers and South Florida (don't sleep on them). And to think people thought the Big East would be shit after losing Miami, and Va Tech. It's the other way around, the ACC looks like shit and the Big East looks awesome.

At least the Hogs crack the top twenty. I would've hoped for higher, but given the way the end of the season sputtered, and the turmoil of the offseason--the much ballyhooed offensive coordinator left, and qb Mitch Mustain left shortly afterward transferring to USC ( Neither move I understand, and could seriously bite the program in the ass.) Hopefully Casey Dick continues to improve at quarterback and hopefully Darren Mcfadden can continue being as dominant as he was last year in finishing as Heisman runner up. Ready for the season. WOOOOO PIG SOOOIE!

It's pretty sad when the best you could hope for your team is to break .500, isn't it?

Good God!! My 'Noles are ranked #21! Man that sucks. Yeah, I know. But considering the season they had last year, they're lucky to be ranked at all.

I'm a HUGE Cal fan.
This year we have a SOLID as hell team.
We have maybe the best WR in the nation with DeSean Jackson and super solid QB in Longshore.
THIS YEAR WE'LL TAKE DOWN USC!

I'm pumped to see UF beat FSU again. That's the only game that really matters.

It's pretty sad when the best you could hope for your team is to break .500, isn't it? I hope that Buffalo has a single win. Now isn't that just a little sadder?

Bill Swerski: Now, gentlemen, let me ask you this: What if Da Bears Hawaii were all 14 inches tall, you know, about so high? Now, what's your score of today's game?
