She kinda aimed towards the older (maybe sometimes bitter) 30 something women, but she wrote some real good lyrics and songs. I think shes the only women artist I like even just a little bit. Shes real smart and creative and all that. For real I think I would consider her just as memorable and (somewhat, not TOO sure on this one) creative as just about any band.
Oh and before anyone says something, no, 'Ironic' wasnt ironic, or the lyrics werent I mean.
Anyone like her. I remember my mom and her N/A friends would be listening to her CDs all the way up to Dennys and home after meetings. A couple days ago I heard on the songs and looked up some more on YouTube, kinda brings back memories, made me remember that I liked her songs then and pretty much still do now...

"Ironic" was ironic because it was a song called "Ironic" that actually wasn't...IRONIC. A lot of people don't seem to get it.

I got into a fight with my English teacher over this once.

She made for a very smurfable God in Dogma.

She had some good songs. But once she went to India on a sabbatical, her mood changed, and her music lost that edge.

I know people will likely not believe me, but I'm actually related to her. It's very distant, but my step-grandpa (whom my grandma has been married to long before I was born) is her great uncle. I've met her numerous times although I have no problem believing she'd have no clue who I am if I walked up to her on the street.
