Ain't nuttin wrong with that. Anyone lookin for a gift idea this holiday season, get me a pinball machine. Any will do, I dig me some flipper TILT action. Bonus, the Star Wars one pictured used to be in the Student Center back when I was college. Good times.

I was madly in love with this one that had the Phantom of the Opera theme to it. And there was a foot ball one that would have this ramp raise in the middle after you gained so many yards, and you'd hafta shoot the ball p the ramp and try to get it through the uprights.

I liked the Simpsons one, personally.
Ones from the 80's - early 90's were the best tho... as recent ones have been TOO gimmicky.
And for a guy that LOVES gimmicks, that is saying a lot.

My top score on that Star Wars pinball?
1.6 BILLION.
I'm sure it's some sort of record... got me about 28 replays.

I did love Guns and Roses pinball but this was my pinball game below. You unlock this door with the key of imagination. I got this one on Visual Pinball.

When I was in holiday in Malta I spent alot of time playing the pinball machine in the Games room of the hotel...I don't do well in the sun. Anywho, I was playing for a while, getting better, learning the tricks of the machine. Eventually all my hard work paid off in the form of the HIGH SCORE!That's right baby! Then, the day before I was supposed to go home, the hotel lost power for an hour, and went I back to the machine...it was completely wiped blank. My legacy erased.

What's visual pinball?
Just because it was the The Twilight Zone, it is the only pinball machine I can remember dumping my quarters.

"What's visual pinball? Just because it was the The Twilight Zone, it is the only pinball machine I can remember dumping my quarters." Visual Pinball is an emulator that emulates actual real pinball games. Now I know this sounds out there but they've done it ands it fairly neat. The emulator takes blueprints of a table and then in some way the emulation designers have somehow added in the table effects in what would happen in an actual game. You know what here ya go. Heres the website- www.randydavis.com/vp/tables.htmYou can check out the tables. They keep getting more. Go to the forum if you want to find out how to download the emulator and such. You have to sign up and only five downloads can be made a day.

This is all leading me toward getting a real cheap PC laptop, or a new macbook with intel inside.

I love pinball!
My first pinball experience came at Chuck E Cheese. It was Super Mario Bros. 3 and the matchine spat out tickets as the score increased. Unfortunately, the only time I see pinball machines now is in the arcades on the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk.
