they do retelling or re interrupting of comic book stories? I really like that honestly. I was reading Marvel 1602 and I was so impressed and I was wowed by it. If anyone doesn't know about it's set in 1602 Europe and re imagines marvel characters in that era like the X-Men (witchbreed), Doctor Strange, Nick Fury, Fantastic Four, Spiderman and Daredevil, really awesome highly recommended.
But I've always liked that honestly, like that one amalgam comic that combined Generation X and Jonah Hex into Generation Hex, which told of mutants(known in this as malforms) dealing with life against normal people in the old west, honestly in my top 10 as comics go, would have made a killer graphic novel.
Oh and a cool graphic novel that combined Superman and the movie, Metropolis. Really worked well in my opinion and is one of the few Superman comics I actually liked.
I don't I really dig stuff like that. Does anyone like this as well or no?

With a few rare exceptions I absolutely hate almost everything you just stated as liking about comics.

I guess it wouldn't be cool if done all the time thus not being effective but once in awhile it's good in my opinion. But honestly I'd like to see a n X-Men book about life as mutants in a way more intolerant era than right now, I'd think that would be awesome.

Nothing personal believe me.
I just don't like retellings are rewritings for the sake of it.
I hate the Ultimate series.
I hate retconing unless they do it REALLY well like DC just pulled off.
The rare stand alone series are fun but mean nothing in the long run, like the X-Men centralized AoA storyline.
I was a huge mark for the 2099 series tho (thats the exception not the rule).
