wow. Seattle has played Terrible today. The Steelers also played very well. I am surprised. We shut out a very good offense without our two best defensive players. Ben Roethlisberger was amazing today. He is the reason our offense was able to do anything. His passing really set up the run. 13 straight completitions for Big Ben. Finished the game 18-22 206 yards and 1 TD. Qb Rating of 124.4. Oh happy day. Now I just need the Redsox to win, and my day as a sports fan will be awesome.

That Texans Kicker is something awesome! Kris Brown is a great kicker He wasn't when he played for the Steelers in 2001. He missed more kicks than I can remember. I am reminded of a Ravens-Steelers game where Brown missed something like 5 FG's. However that is just because of Heinz Field. He is much better when he isn't kicking there. Texas with their nice field remains a perfect fit for him.

I can't wait to see Pittsburgh's defense when Polamalu and Hampton are back in the line up.

How Chad Pennington has remained a productive QB in the NFL is beyond me. Watching the Giants/Jets game today, the ammount of time his passes just hang in the air, it amazes me defenses can't close in and break up the passes. A lot of credit goes to those receivers, who have to elevate and out-jump defenders to bring in some of those rainbows Chad heaves with all of his might.
Honestly, a simple 10 yard pass sails at least 20 feet in the air to reach its target. Going deep? Better rent a sun dial to time its hang time, because it's going to scrape some atmosphere before fluttering down to his receiver, who's pulled off on his route and is sitting and waiting for it to come in.
The real maddening thing is watching it, as you can just see it, dead in the air with no zip, and its at least somewhat effective. Albeit he had three picks today, but he still gets production out of that wet noodle he calls an arm. I still can not figure out why he can get away with it....

If Chicago can pull out a win tonight against the Packers, I'll at least be tied for first place in Pick 'Em.
And that's not a bad thing...

I'm VERY disappointed in my points this week for the pickem.~~ funny how we see things different. You are dissapointed in going 9-3 in the first twelve, and I am glad about putting up 8-4. But I guess thats just because I have as many points this week as I had the last two weeks...COMBINED.

I had a great first half of the day, a so-so second half.
I'm fine with my points though.

[/DDP] I'll tell you what's a bad thing; the fact that I've gone 6-6 thus far. What kind of crack was I smoking at the time to think the Lions, Seahawks, Chiefs and Dolphins were going to win?
