I mean, at least Barry Allen had his lovers being killed, or that he had a legendary death, or that his sidekick actually took over his role, or....well, anything interesting. Besides, it would be nice to have a good black superhero movie.

Hell, what I would like is a 5 part series:
First movie introduces Hal Jordan, and has John Stewart in a cameo at the end, as we zoom out of Earth to see Parallax, real quickly. Main villain of this film is Sinestro.
Second film, Jordan is possessed by Parallax, and Stewart takes up the ring. Halfway through, Stewart "dies" and Kyle Rayner takes over as the Lantern, and defeats Parallax Jordan. We see Parallax slink away, but is not dead.
Third film, Jordan and Stewart are revealed to be alive. We have 3 Lanterns now. Main villain of the film is the Manhunters. Towards the end of the film, Sinestro is seen gathering troops.
Fourth film, the start of the Sinestro Corps Wars! Lanterns from across the universe battle it out with Sinestro's soldiers.
Fifth film, Parallax takes over Rayner and we have the Lost Lanterns story arc and end the Sinestro Corps War.
I say in the end, Jordan is the last sector 2184 Lantern to stand at the end of film 5.

I'm still waiting for an Aquaman film myself. Now who would think I wouldn't be the first to say this? As Far as a Lantern movie goes it will be noting Without Killowog you Posers.

No GL movie would be complete without a heavy dose of Guy Gardner. Seriously, he was the most interesting GL ever.

I wont naysay what you want, but I felt that Parallax being some sort of cosmic parasite as gratuitous and masturbatory fanservice. Say what you will, but ultimately I feel the writer owes nothing to the reader, except a good story. Parallax being something other than Hal Jordan snapping is complete B.S. especially since it just completely destroyed him later heroic sacrifice. No. I don't want Parallax. Ever.

Agree there, from the moment he blew up Oa on they just kept putting him in more and more convoluted storylines.
