Does anyone know a good place online where I can buy old systems and stuff online? Ive been too a bunch of different stores and none of them had anything. This one store had an NES on display with a price tag and everything, but then a store person told me none of the stuff on that rack worked. Way to get peoples hopes up.
But yeah, anyone know any place where you can?

The cheapest would be eBay. I know thats an eazy answer, but I've always had luck there.

eBay, garage and yard sales, and sometimes Game Stops are good places to check.

There was one place I went to where they take an older system (Atari, NES, Genesis, SNES, SMS, etc) and make it into a portable system for you. I wish I could find that link again.

Also if you haven't tried yet, don't overlook getting on yahoo yellowpages or something similar to look in towns around you. Might be a store specializing in old games that you don't know about.
