My wife's a huge fan. Bought her all the Calvin and Hobbes books first prints for her birthday. My favorite was when Calvin would make the snowmen scenes.

I love Calvin and Hobbes.
Especially when he got the beanie hat, expecting to fly, or when he built a city out of sand at the beach and did a Godzilla impression.
I always get mad when I see the religious stickers on cars/trucks depicting Calvin praying to the cross, or peeing on a logo. Mainly because I know Bill Watterson never sold the rights to the image.

Differently one of the best comics of all time. Bill Watterson knew when to stop and retired Calvin and Hobbes. Unlike other comics that have been hung out to dry for to long.

...........
Calvin: "What if someone calls us a pair of pathetic peripatetics?"
..................
Hobbess: "I don't think people take the trouble to rhyme weird insults." Calvin : "But shouldn't we have a ready retort?!"

Let's face it, Calvin and Hobbies=Ratings.
As much as it sucks it's still not around, it was a good idea to end the strip "while still on top", then to drag it on. The same idea for The Far Side.
