CRASHING THROUGH THE SKY, COMES A FEARFUL CRY! COOOOBBBRRRAAAA (CO-BRRRAAAHHH!!)
Uh anyway.
Man did that movie suck, but the opening for it was the stuff of legends. That part alone should be a broadway production by now.
But yeah, I was perusing various stores last weekend and have come to the conclusion that they're once more re-launching the GI Joe toy line, but this time it's done right, the way I remember it, with the classic card art and everything. It took all of my power and responsibility not to plunk down a bunch of cash for Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, and even more will power not to buy a 24 dollar boxed set of Cobra's elite, in which the display base belts out the opening Cobra related lines of the GI Joe movie theme.
Anyone gonna collect these? I'm trying to fight it. But dammit, that's part of my childhood.

I thought about getting them, but I've recently got a new house, and the costs of that are beating down my ability to purchase toys. They've redone the articulation on the waist. I'm not for sure how i like the look of it, but other than that, they're pretty damned cool. And yes, the opening for the movie was fan f***ing tastic

well, if your lucky, you can get a single carded figure for 4.99 at Wal-Mart. I have Snake-eyes (1984), Flint and Hooded Cobra Commander.

I seen the new toys & I am not to fond of them. They look smaller & like they are made cheaper.

I just spent nearly $200 buying all the figures from the Transformers Movie, so there's no way I'm buying GI Joes.
And for the record, I thought the GI Joe movie was fun, but in a made-for-TV-movie kinda way. I'm glad it didn't make it to the theaters. As most of you all know, we can thank Optimus Prime's death for that.

My Little Pony and Transformers BOMBED consitering how much was put into it, so the company got cold feet with G.I. Joe and opted not to release it in theaters. I think Flint Dillie also said that this also put the Kabash on a Jem movie and a Inhumanoids movie as well.

I have Snake Eyes. I checked out the Cobra box set, but it played the regular Joe theme, which made me sad.
I will also get Destro and Serpentor, but I dunno bout anyone else.
