I think it depends if they kill off Joker and Two-Face in this one or not.
For all we know, both will survive the film to terrorize again (I doubt it, but you never know)
rra, what are your thoughts on this?

I would like it if it's an Empire Strikes Back type of film.

I want to see this but in film. If they ever put Bane in a Batman film again make him intelligent not the retard he was in BATMAN AND ROBIN. I can't wait for THE DARK KNIGHT.

While Hatter would be good, I don't feel it would fit in with Nolan's whole keeping it realistic idea for the films. I would personally like to see a very underated villian by the name of Cornelius Stirk. I don't care man, I've said it before and I'll say it again I want Tom Petty as the Mad Hatter... age be damned. S l i k, I heard that Nolan has stated that he wants to get away from the old movies habits of killing every villian off all the time. I think Joker is going to be caught, not killed in this movie. This is just my own theory though.

Javier Bardem would make the perfect bane...though I say that about him and most roles. Hell, I thought Javier Bardem would've made a great victor von doom/dr.doom.

I won't spoil, but lets note something that David Goyer mentioned in an interview way back in 2005. He said that he & Nolan had the basic trilogy plan where the 2nd movie would be The Joker's movie, but it would plant the seeds and pull an EPISODE III*, with the 3rd movie where Two Face enters the dance. *=As in, Two Face not kicking ass YET, but he's ready to go.

If they want to keep realistically doing characters, they are going to run out of characters to do. Batman has only so many actually still human enemies, and they used 3 of them in the first film(and killed 2 of them)!
I say Riddler is a must to have. There are 3 Batman villains that everyone knows of, Joker, Two-Face, and Riddler.
I also say Bane COULD be worked into realistically with some kind of intense steroid.

He can easily be done, but I guess the only question(pun intended) is how do you make his outfit fit the gritty look of the Nolan films? His outfits in the comics are just...well...flamboyant. I will say, though, that his outfit in the latest Batman animated series(the one with the anime-like art style) is pretty intense looking. Maybe an outfit close to that is more of the Nolan style, agree?

I would personally like to see a very underated villian by the name of Cornelius Stirk. How would the Mad Hatter not work? Just make him a psychotic pedophile who abducts girls named Alice and brainwashes people with the mind control cards to do his crimes. A rich eccentric who has people do his dirty work. How does that not make sense. Here are my suggestion for possible Batman villains who have not been on film before. With Man-Bat he could be a bat researcher who does an experiment to help bats survive in harsh conditions which goes wrong and gets transformed into the human bat and is unable to control himself. If the next sequel will be inspired by The Long Holloween why not Calender Man? But it has to be the Lecter-esque Calender man and not the crappy version. I think he could make a cool villain especially because people put such an emphasis on having fun on holidays and than you have this serial killer terrorizing the city of gotham would be cool. Clayface(Basil Karlo) Have him be a film actor gone insane and becomes the Clayface due to him popularity dying and all people remember him for his being Clayface and becomes bitter by this and snaps and actually becomes the Clayface and attacks the people of Gotham. I think all these would work well.

Isn't Cornelius Stirk just a poor man's Scarecrow? I guess he could appear in league with Crane, if he returns, but I think he'd only have a very minor role like Zsasz.
Penguin could also work in a realistic film, but only if you have him as a mob boss with less exaggerated features. I'd like to see Selina Kyle too. It would be too much to fit Catwoman into the planned trilogy, but there's potential to have a Kyle cameo as a prostitute.

Well no, Actually there is so much that could be done with Stirk. Scarecrow instills fear in people to pull of schemes, Stirk instills fear in people to eat their hearts. While he may not be able to pull off the whole movie I wouldn't mind seeing him as a second story arc.

Very, very excited for this film. I have been following it on the SHH forums for a while now.
Can't wait!
