I was bored and I haven't seen a thread about this movie and yes I know it's almost a year away I think it would be cool to discuss it. Ever since Batman Begins I've been excited about this movie and from the pictures it seems awesome. The plot seems thus far to revolve around The Joker and Harvey Dent.
The Joker in this movie will be a disfigured psychotic killer while Harvey Dent seem like the crusading DA trying to take down any evil that exists and which obviously will lead to his downfall, which makes him tragic. Honestly this movie could honestly be the best ever and a serious portrayal of Harvey Dent/Two-Face would be great. Hopefully they'll only reveal Two-Face at the very end leading the sequel so that this movie would be all about Batman vs. Joker.

I really wish I could join in threads like this. But it's going to be spoiler central and I can't have that.
RRA knows about my phobia of spoilers.

not really, anything relating to the movie, but more the book.
In spring 06, I went to NYC, and I got to tour the DC offices. I mainly talked to the official DC librarian. He asked me which artists and authors I liked when we went back into the "vault", and I said a few, including Frank Miller. He asked what books and I said 300, Sin City and The Dark Knight. When I mentioned TDK, he kinda rolled his eyes and said "hmm...oh". But besides that, the guy was awesome. He took me all around the headquarters(which was unfortunate, as they were mid-move at the time, so most of the offices were in boxes), and showed me some old action figures and what not. Also, I got 2 JLA collections and Ronin(because I like Miller) for free.
But, is that the general attitude of DC guys? Or is it just that one guy's opinion?

*=Which I would have prefered, but whatever as long as it works.

BTW, I have to say you are awesome for taking that awesome-sounding tour. As for THE DARK KNIGHT, maybe that librarian has heard that so many times he's sort of hoping someone wouldn't say it. Just theorizing. Anyway, TDK is one of the great graphic novels, or at least one of the more legendary, famous books. Why would a company that published it roll eyes at it? Maybe that librarian was just being a smartass*, but for some reason this brings up Paramount disowning everything Jason Vorhees. Don't ask me why. *=which I know all about!

Schumacher's version of Two-Face was crap.
It won't be hard to better that in this movie.

I just hope Harley Quinn is in it Unless things changed from the last time I heard...she IS in the movie, but along the lines of that minor serial killer (forgot the name) from the comics appeared in BATMAN BEGINS......a glorified cameo.

Good enough for me. Wonder who they'll do for the next movie. Two face as the main villian and wonder who else.... Riddler? Penguin? Clayface? Catwoman? Ivy? Freeze? Mad Hatter? Bane?

None of the above. Until Bob Hoskins turned it down, The Penguin was supposed to be in THE DARK KNIGHT. Its worth mentioning.... BTW, while I'm here, that rumor of Anthony Michael Hall being the Riddler, is half-true. AMH is in THE DARK KNIGHT, but no Riddler.

I'd really like them to do Mad Hatter or Riddler for the 3rd one.
Especially Riddler. Carey is great but he didn't do Riddler... the way I would have liked

While Hatter would be good, I don't feel it would fit in with Nolan's whole keeping it realistic idea for the films.
I would personally like to see a very underated villian by the name of Cornelius Stirk.
