I think Gary Oldman would get a lot more recognition if he didn't look so radically different all the time in his roles. A lot of people might not even realize it's him half the time, especially in stuff like Hannibal when he's hidden under all that makeup. He's one of the great "That Guy!" actors of our time. How is looking different for every role bad? That is part of what makes him great, the fact that he can so take over a role that when you see his name on the credits you say"That was him!?". Tom Cruise looks the same in every role, does that make him a great actor?

Bill Murray. He's great with Comedies obviously but when it's a more subtle, dramatic role, he's incredible IMO. Lost In Translation is a perfect example of that. Of course he had his moments when he was funny as hell (Karaoke scene for one.), but for the most part brilliantly pulled off the dramatic role. I also think Tom Baker is underrated. He's mainly remembered for Doctor Who, but he's more than just one of the best Doctors. His comedic timing is spot on.

I don't think it's bad at all to look different for every role; if that's the way it sounded, that's certainly not what I meant. In fact it's one of the reasons I admire Oldman's work; and don't enjoy Mr. Cruise's.

Would Viggo Mortensen be considered underrated? If so...I pick him.

Probably Steve Buscemi. His work with the Coens is amazing. He is also great is Ghost World. I find it funny he wasn't even NOMINATED for any Oscars, but then again the Oscars get it wrong most of the time.
