Awesome. We can just get straight to the action.

I think he spent twenty years in a mental institution after killing his sister on Halloween as a boy.

Good, it'll add to the mystery of the character. Make him much spookier.
Who is this nut and how the hell did he get here?

While I'd love to see an origin.... since Joker is synonymous with Batman as is, I guess it's all right to leave it out.

I think that's pretty stupid. It'll probably be a good movie regardless but if I hadn't known about this beforehand I would've felt jipped when I went to see the movie.

That's a pretty good idea. It will get to the action a lot quicker. It will make the character a lot creepier since we don't know how he got that way. Most comic fans know his origin, so it would seem a little pointless to waste time on it. And, non comic fans watching the movie probably wouldn't care and would want to get to the action quickly and not have time wasted on, in their perspective, a boring origin.

Wow they are keeping with the spirit of the book. I would have loved for them to use Batman:TAS origin

Good. I'm tired of origins in superhero flicks.

What more do you need?

The Joker's madness personified and madness doesn't need a reason. Sometimes, I'd think of Joker as representing the mugger who killed Bruce's parents; pure madness to kill two people over a pearl necklace and some money. Batman, to me, represents what happens when a person tries to fight against the madness of the world. Like lots of over people said, I don't need the origin because nothing would be more appropriate than pure, reasonless madness.

Perfect. They screwed up Batman by tying Joker into Batsie's origin in the original movie, so I like this. And it fits perfectly into Joker's scrambled personality.

Dear lord, that first picture is just too great for words....both those pictures show why The Joker is my favorite villain period, followed next by Riddler. Both are demented humans that, aside from their lack of sanity, are perfectly normal, yet they are two of Batman's hardest villains to fight.

Yay! For this one!!! I still hope he ain't wearing makeup though! Me too. Me too. I very much like the idea of Joker's origin not being explained. I never liked when he was given a solid backstory beyond the Red Hood. I'd prefer all the events leading up to the Red Hood's chemical bath remain a mystery. Obviously, I hate "Batman: Confidential". I'm glad they're trying lenses out in the Batsuit, but a fantastic cowl won't save his costume from looking too busy. I'm hoping the filter Nolan uses hides alot of his costume's detail. It's just so ugly.

Good. We don't need an orgin story for The Joker. He's pure chaos he doesn't need to be explained he just is. Also I know this movie will have a orgin story anyway for how Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face, which is a far better story than any of the Joker origins.
