I liked it, warts and all, so I'll probably pick it up within the next week or so.
I actually really dislike the whole 'Sandman taking over as hero' idea rra is talking about. To me that flies in the face of Pete's whole responsibility kick. Especially since we already saw Spider-man: No More in the second one.

I hated Spider-Man 3, so I won't be picking it up.

To me that flies in the face of Pete's whole responsibility kick. Especially since we already saw Spider-man: No More in the second one. There were two routes with that whole idea, if Raimi/SONY hadn't crapped out. The original theme of SM3 was that of change. Spidey isn't the guy who's considered a hero, annoyance in a 50/50 split, the whole city loves him. MJ's acting career has landed her serious offers that would require her to move out to Los Angeles....and that would be the relationship impasse. She wants to go to Hollywood, he wants to stay. That strains the relationship*. Not that incredibly stupid s*** regarding Harry/Peter/MJ that was rather.....convulted, yes? Aunt May would have died, and that probably was the original funeral idea, in the half-way point. Again, this is a story about change. This aint like comics or TV shows where s*** is static. Now, the two routes was that if SM3 was to be the last movie, Sandman takes over, with his own franchise, having to pay off his own tragic mistake in inadvertedly murdering Ben Parker by doing the same stewardship that Peter has. And Peter is allowed something that he's hasn't had in years. He gets to enjoy life.... The other route is, Spidey stays in NYC, while SAndman is a hero on his own. *=And really, makes more sense than that nonsense with her in the final movie, yeah?

Im gonna rent it, cuz the morons I saw it with wouldn't let me hear it. (I mean, yeah, they were Jeering for a reason, but can you at least have SOME f***ing decorum and wait till after the movie to whine about it?) Anyway, what I heard was decent and all, I'm mainly renting it only to "fill in the blanks". The fact that I only have enough to rent it's a reason too.

I've got Spider-Man 1 and 2 on DVD, so the obsessive part of me will buy this to complete the trilogy. Even though it was my least favourite one so far, there's something about the Spidey movies I really dig.

No, it screwed up the Harry Green Goblin, Sandman, Symbiote Spidey and Venom storylines. So no I will not see this movie again, I almost wished it was worse so I could mock it in humorous way like with Batman and Robin. Seriously B&R is great if you don't take it seriously and just laugh at it alot.

I'll be getting it. I could have already got it, but they didn't have the 2 disc special edition yet. I'm also gonna break down and get the Blu Ray trilogy set.
Its a OK movie, just kinda rushed. Guess they thought people wouldn't want to re up for more movies, and fit in all they could with the original cast as they could. The Venom stuff could have started this movie, then finished in another.
