So what would you choose? of the Megadrive versions gotta be Sonic 2 even if it is just for the music (The Death Egg music was great) Later ones either Shadow or sonic (xbox version) because they were so different...

Sonic 2. I may have to turn in my man card yet again (sorry Roberts), but I loved Tails.

Sonic 2
I mean, it DID come in #1 in the Genesis/32X/CD list of best games.
Sonic CD is a third for me, and Sonic 3 is second.

2.
All the 16 bit Genesis Sonic's are decent though.

I agree that all of the sonics on genesis were good. Sonic 1 had some great music (especially Scrap Brain) and also it was one of the hardest to complete IMO even when I got the collection on PS2 it was still hard to get all the way. Sorry about CD I completely forgot, shame because I was listening to the music (Japanese version) last night on sonic style it has one of the best soundtracks of all of them

Sonic Adventure. Most fun I had with a Dreamcast.
A remake would be a license to print money.

Between 1992-1997, I spent a grand total of approx. 3 years playing Sonics 2 so I have to vote for it.

Other: Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It's the best 2-D platform game next to Super Mario 3.

I loved Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, but Sonic Spinball was insanely addicting. I voted for that.
