The Question takes out She-Hulk (Bit of an upset I think) ------------------------------- One more for the moment ... The Violator/Clown - Violator is the true form of the Clown, an antagonist in Todd McFarlane's Spawn comic book series. A demon from the eighth sphere of Hell, Violator possesses supernatural strength, agility, and cunning. Much like Spawn, he can also perform Hell-powered magic. The Violator/Clown is probably Spawn's most recognizeable villain. He serves as Malebolgia's henchman and lackey. His purpose is to guide Hellspawn towards fulfilling Malebolgia's desire: to cultivate evil souls on Earth for Hell's army. He has been killed multiple times, each time to be returned to Hell and reanimated by his master. As Demon and as Clown vs Dream - He is the fictional protagonist of DC Comics' Vertigo comic book series The Sandman. One of the seven Endless, inconceivably powerful beings older and greater than gods, Dream is both lord and personification of all dreams and stories, all that is not in reality (which, in turn, Dream may define by his existence). He has taken many names including Morpheus and Oneiros. With a romantic and indeed arrogant cast - as befits his role as lord of fiction - Dream is the only one of the Endless who has taken on the title of King as "the King of Dreams", a role whose qualities, dangers, and duties, serve as one of the primary themes of The Sandman. Dream is a noble, tragic hero, very much in the traditional style of heroes of Greek tragedy. He is sometimes slow when dealing with humor, occasionally insensitive, often self-obsessed, and is very slow to forgive or forget a slight. As Mervyn Pumpkinhead remarks, after the end of one of Morpheus' invariably disastrous romances, "He's gotta be the tragic figure standing out in the rain, mournin' the loss of his beloved. So down comes the rain, right on cue. In the meantime everybody gets dreams fulla existential angst and wakes up feeling like hell. And we all get wet." Unsurprisingly I vote for another sadistic evil clown, Violator has my vote.

The Dream is over (*Groan*) and Violator moves on. ------------------------------------------- Up next ... Juggernaut - Cain Marko is the half-brother and childhood bully of X-Men founder Charles Xavier. His hometown is Berkeley, CA. Unlike Xavier, Marko is not a mutant. With the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak Marko was granted power rivaling The Hulk and The Mighty Thor, and embarked on a lengthy criminal career as The Juggernaut, often tangling with his step-brother’s team, the X-Men. Despite his great power and the potential danger that he poses to the X-Men, he has used his abilities in a form that characterized him more as a petty thug than as a super-villain. Unlike Magneto, Mister Sinister, or Apocalypse, who devoted themselves to an ideology, Juggernaut's motivation was primarily greed. During his criminal career, the Juggernaut amassed a notable amount of wealth. Recently the Juggernaut underwent a crisis of conscience and joined the X-Men; he is currently a member of the European offshoot New Excalibur. Juggernaut traditionally possesses vast power of mystical origin, has immense strength, tremendous resistance to physical injury; a nearly impenetrable force field that he could summon at will, unlimited stamina, and alleged immunity to molecular manipulation attacks. Due to the mystical energies flowing through his body, he does not need to eat, breathe or drink. Finally, while moving he has proved essentially unstoppable, except by some very few, vastly powerful adversaries. Juggernaut has also been injured on occasion, but has an extremely powerful healing factor, and can apparently recover from almost any damage. With his former depowerment at the hands of Cyttorak, his power levels decreased in almost every aspect. He needed to breathe, and while still immensely powerful, stated that he was at most half as strong. He also was mortal and could be killed by considerably lower amounts of punishment. Finally, he was no longer an "unstoppable force", and was stripped of his mystical armor and telepathy-shielding helmet (instead wearing "unstable molecule" replicas). As of World War Hulk he has had all his power restored! vs Swampthing - He is a character in the DC universe. The character is a humanoid mass of vegetable matter who fights to protect his swamp home, the environment in general, and humanity from various supernatural or terroristic threats. Over the years his backstory has varied, originally he was a scientist Alec Holland caught in an explosion and turned into Swamp-Thing. More recently this was changed so that Alec Holland actually died and the vegetable matter absorbed his his mind, knowledge, memories, and skills and created a new sentient being that believed itself to be Alec Holland. It's abilites include super Strength, regeneration, control over plantlife and other natural elements. Nothing can stop the Juggernaut! One of my all time favorites gets my vote over the moss monster.

oooh tough. I'd vote for Juggy in any other choice, but Alan Moore's Swamp Thing work is phenominal so he gets the vote.

Damn! Swampthing defeats Juggernaut ... I guess swamps really are difficult to walk through! -------------------------------------------- Next up ... Aquaman - A superhero in the DC universe. Orin is an Atlantian and is King of Atlantis, who was shunned by his people for having blonde hair. Aquaman has multiple abilities, several of which derive from his aquatic physiology. His amphibious lungs allow him to breathe air or water. He can withstand the pressure and the cold of ocean depths. This also provides him a high degree of durability and super strength out of the water. For instance, he can easily throw a car hundreds of yards. He is able to swim through the ocean at very high speeds and leap several stories at a time. He also maintains enhanced senses. He can see in near total darkness and has super hearing. Aquaman's touch can also have a dehydrating effect, a consequence of the way in which his body normally absorbs water while under water. On land, Aquaman will gradually dehydrate and his physical abilities and energy decline in response. The character is best known for his ability to communicate with sea life via telepathy. The range of his telepathy is unknown since he can summon sea life from undisclosed distances. Though most often used on sea life, Aquaman has shown the capacity to telepathically affect any being evolved from marine life. His telepathy is fairly powerful, at one point helping Martian Manhunter tap into the minds of everyone on the planet. By locating that part of the human brain that humans share with their marine ancestors, Aquaman can also disrupt some normal brain functions (walking, speech, etc.) with a seizure. However, he does not ordinarily take control of a sea creature. When he commands, most help out of respect for Aquaman, while others can also be persuaded or bargained with. Some animals, like piranhas, will not obey him at all due to their non-social nature. He has also demonstrated mindreading and mind controlling abilities on humans, but it is much more effective on sea life. After the loss of his hand, Aquaman replaced it with a cybernetic harpoon that responded to his thoughts. The harpoon could be fired and stay attached to Aquaman via a long line. At times, Aquaman would replace it with a normal looking cybernetic hand. Later, the harpoon would be replaced by the Waterbearer hand given to him by the Lady of the Lake. The hand was magical in nature and possessed various abilities. Aquaman could control its density, making it very hard. If he uses the hand in a negative way, it releases the Thirst. Instead he primarily used it to heal as well as cancel magic spells. Aquaman has been a member of the Justic League since it's inception. In pop culture, Aquaman has unfortunatly been the victim of satire and mockery for his powers, which are often portrayed in such situations as useless or irrelevant. vs Madeline Pryor: The Goblin Queen - She was a clone of Jean Grey, created by Mister Sinister. Although originally a supporting member of the X-Men cast for quite some time, a variety of troubles in her life (including being rejected by her husband and losing her son) eventually led to her manipulation into becoming a demonic-powered supervillain named the Goblin Queen. Since Madelyne was cloned from Jean Grey's DNA, she was essentially another version of Jean, and possessed Jean's telekinetic and telepathic abilities. As Goblin Queen, her powers were exponentially enhanced by demonic magic to the point where her telekinesis could warp reality in a localized area, and her telepathy could alter another person's personality. Her backstory is complicated and problematic as it has been retconned several times. Originally she had intended on being a pawn of mastermind in revenge against the phoenix but this was changed to the clone history instead despite several continuity errors. Aquaman has my vote, despite his terrible origins he is actually a solid character today.
