Hello and we are back for part 3 of the Superhero and Supervillain tournament that I do every year ...
I have once again decided to find out who is the greatest Superhero/Villain of them all in the eyes of the fans. A staggering 256 contenders will make an appearence but only one can win.
Here are the rules and FAQ

Last Time Nightwing battered Dragon Man into the ground.

The Penguin - One of Batman's villains Oswald cobblepot is a short, chubby man with a slightly long, beak like nose, who wears a tuxedo, top hat, and monocle. A mobster-type criminal, he fancies himself a "gentleman of crime." Unlike most Batman villains, he does not theme his crimes around a psychotic obsession; his intelligence and aristocratic personality starkly contrast against demented Batman villains, such as the Joker. However, he recently became a nightclub owner who engages in more quiet criminal activity, whom Batman tolerates as a source of criminal underworld information. He is known for his love of birds and his high-tech umbrellas that serve some specialized function, such as hang-gliding and weaponry. He also keeps beautiful women around him; perhaps to remind others of his monetary power or to compensate for his own grotesqueness.
vs
Fin Fang Foom - He is an alien dragon that appears in the marvel universe and is a fairly frequent foe of Iron man yet has fought other heroes on regular occasions as well. Foom and several other members of his race originally depart from their peaceful home-world with the intention of conquering other planets. The alien dragons land on Earth in ancient China, and the crew used their natural shape-shifting powers to mimic human form, intent on entering and studying human society before beginning their conquest. Foom was the exception, and acting as reserve is placed in a tomb and given a herb that places him in a catatonic state. Fin Fang Foom possesses super strength, the ability to fly via his wings at supersonic speeds, and can spew a destructive acidic mist resembling flame from his mouth. The dragon is also extremely durable and can regenerate at a rapid rate. By entering into long periods of hibernation, Fin Fang Foom has managed to survive for centuries. Fin Fang Foom is also a shape-shifter, can communicate telepathically and excels in hand to hand combat.
I like that The Penguin is mob boss, it harks back to gothic film noir style which is cool. Penguin has my vote over Foom (Who is a nice variation on the typical dragon)

FAQ:
- The contenders were chosen mainly by me, but I also had a thread for nominations of more obscue characters.
- In the previous two tournaments on this topic the winners have been Spiderman & Doctor Doom
- There will be no comedy, TV or Manga creations in this tournament (e.g Dr. Who, Captain Caveman, Hong Kong Phooey, Akira or Dragonball.)
- I haven't put any groups in as each villain or hero should have the merit to stand on there own.
Rules
- First to 4 votes wins. (After 3 rounds it will progress to 5 votes for the next two rounds, at the quaters it will be 6, the semi's 7 and the final will get a couple of days.)
- 256 characters will enter ... they will be spread roughly between hero and villains ... with a few Vigilante/anti-hero's thrown in.
- The main selection will be from DC & Marvel ... however a few from other independant comics have been included.
- In case of characters who have had multiple people in there roles, use the general basis of that character. (e.g. Green Lantern, Flash, Baron Zemo etc)
- I will try to update this as swiftly as possible.
- I will be voting as well.
- The matches are determined at random.
- IMPORTANT! - Vote on who you like the most, not on who would win in a fight.
